I had crab legs :)

I looked it up first and saw the Protein content and it was so good on Protein. I had such a small amount it barely adds up to anything though.

Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

I do that all the time!!! I'll be like oh this has a ton of protein...then I eat an ounce so I only get like 7 or 8 grams.....

Had an angus steak egg and cheese wake up wrap for lunch....well, half of one. Not great, but we were on the road and it was the best thing there that I could have. For dinner, corned beef and cabbage!

I had 3oz of garlic and herb chicken breast...it was ok, but it's hard to eat much of a food when it is so Protein dense!

Well the only thing I find I can eat without too many issues is Shepherds/Cottage Pie Small one. Ready Brek/Petit Filou/Quavers and that's it at the moment. I have today ordered Weight Loss Surgery cookbook for Dummies off Amazon and I look forward to seeing what is possible. I'm coming up 6wks post op.

Can anyone tell me how I get the weight tracker it looks really good?

I made Avgolemono' date=' it's a Greek lemon-chicken Soup (thanks to ShastaDaisy for the recipe).

My husband loved it, I thought it was just okay. I had it last week in a Greek restaurant and it was creamy and delicious. Mine wasn't as creamy as theirs and it tasted salty to me. We have lots of leftovers so we'll still be eating it.

It was really simple to make though, so if anyone is interested, here's the recipe I used: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2008/02/dinner-tonight-avgolemono-greek-lemon-and-rice-soup-recipe.html

Did you do any starch in it?

I'd lower the liquid and make it thicker

Yeah I cut the Orzo in half to lower carb count, but I should have lowered the liquid too. There's always next time because I'll make it again! With low sodium stock though because what I used yesterday tasted like a salt lick to me. Hubby liked it though

Cheesy. Cauliflower casserole recipe please!

1 head of cauliflower chopped into small pieces

1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt

1 can 99% fat free cream of chicken Soup

1 onion diced

1 cup reduced fat sharp cheddar

Salt and pepper

Microwave diced cauliflower for 4 minutes. Use paper towel to blot up any liquid. Add everything else except enough of the cheese to cover the top. Mix together well. Add remaining cheese. Bake at 375 for 30 min.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
