TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted January 18, 2013 I apply once for SNAPS and I only got it as an emergency. It was a one time thing & I was thinking I was officially approve. I reapply and it took over 3 months nothing happen. I said 3 strike and I'm out. Let me try for the 3rd time. I'm finally & officially approve. My teenager is so happy. We can finally go grocery shopping for everything we need. I was budgeting grocery so I haven't had a lot of meat in a while. Just buying here & there. It's like winning the lottery:) this time I got even more then the one time I got approve. We are shopping next Thursday. Just my teenager & I. She gets off from school 2 days since its testing week. So the small babies will be in school. I can finally buy some Vitamin shake to stabilize my weight & put nutrition in my body.
beth423 33 Posted January 18, 2013 Congrats!!! I know how frustrating it is. And healthy food is expensive!!
TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted January 18, 2013 Thanks yes a piece of fruit is more expensive then a bag of chips. In a way I don't blame sociality for the over weight issues we have.
skinnyjess2013 39 Posted March 2, 2013 Awesome! You can buy some Protein powders and bars with it, As long as the label reads "Nutrition Facts" and not "Supplement Facts" it is considered a food and can be purchased with EBT. Jessica. can't wait to start this journey. Approved, waiting on a date!!!
Amanda R 56 Posted March 2, 2013 I hear ya, if it wasn't for getting snap, we wouldn't get to eat like we do, not that we eat great. But the cost of anything good for you, fresh meats, fruits and veggies are soooo expensive. Curious what state are you in?
