TracyK - you are amazing girlfriend... I remember a time when we were neck and neck and now... i suck and you blew me away.

Denise... I am right were you are ... 207 was my lowest and was 211 this morning but was at 217 when i begged for a fill and was refused. I was feeling pretty good but tonight I feel bloated. worked for 10 hrs on my feet in the heat cooking. That always kills me.

night all, i'm just getting in...

oh wait.. got another call about a job lead... could just be temp position but a good one working for my old real estate attorney... new year... new opportunities... and just as I walked into a full time job... my niece is going to move back from CA in a 3 weeks and is going to need hrs... she could have mine... would that be perfect timing or what??? where i need to be.

DAMMIT! If things aren't expensive enough as it is..

I bought 2 cartons of smokes tonight (mine and DH). I get home, and only 1 carton is there. GRR!!!!!!

I called them and told them what happened, they said "Well we can't just give you a carton of cigarettes" I'm like, I saw him bag it, so there should be a bagged carton of cigarettes.. go ask him, he should remember it. And dude left. So they said they'll run the video tapes tomorrow and call me back. I better get my $40 or a carton of cigarettes!!!!!!

I am so excited this morning I can barely contain myself!! (note the new ticker...182) I guess getting back into my normal "eat right" habits the past few days plus the exercise from the move made the scale move....whatever the reason, I'll take it :)

I don 't know if I am the only one of us but when I lose, it is a woosh and then nothing for 2-3 weeks. Weird. So that makes -5 for December. Not bad.

Tracy-I have brought all of my clothes to goodwill. I purposely kept those jeans and that shirt because I wanted to remember where I came from and yesterday when I was puttiing things away in the new house I found them and put them on and was like OMG!!!! That shirt is a mens 3X (54-56) and I used to have to stretch it out before I put it on!! The jeans were stretched to the max when I would put them on, no lie!!

Cindy-I have not even cleaned the other house yet...I am having my coffee and then I am going to go tackle it this morning!! YUCK! PS...I am so envious of your upcoming trip. Sounds like heaven!

Denise-Give the junk away. Laura and I did it and as soon as I did it was instant relief!! You can do it if we can!!!

Pamela-Thanks for the boobies girlfriend!! I just love getting nanner boobies!! I wish I had a new couch to snuggle up on :(

Kat-glad you made it home safely! Belly dancing? LOL, you go girl! I have way to much belly to to that! Wrinkled belly at that!! :)

Laura-That sucks about the cigarettes!! Good lord, they cost enough as it is! Hope they make it good for you...let me know what happens! PS...macy was not ahppy taking that pic! My mom and I both had to hold her cause she was making my pants fall off and my step dad was taking the picture LOL

Jenn-You do not suck!! We all have different metabolisms and body types. You are doing fantastic especially since your dr sucks!! I am really glad to see you so positive about the upcoming year! Tell me more about the houston job...when do you find something out?

Terri-I am so glad your kids enjoyed their best christmas ever!! No matter how old they are it is great when they smile, right?

Janie-I need to get my finances in order too this year. Easier said than done though!

Cindy-my mind is going but I believe it was you that said you were crazy for driving through that ice & snow to go swim, right? No, you are not crazy, just determined...i love it!!

Judy-I am up before you this morning?

Michelle-you are probably the busiest person I know. What is on your schedule for today? Just reading your posts makes me feel like I have gotten my exercise for the day ;)

Haydee-Sorry you did not get a bonus either. I found out that my boss did not get one too so now I feel a little better that I was not the only one that got screwed!

If I missed ayone I am so sorry!!

I have had a terrific year. I wanted to say thank you to all of you. You all have made a difference in my life, more than you will ever know!

Have a great day everyone!!

bummer, Laura! Yesterday I had a similar thing happen... the clerk charged me twice for a $15 item but fortunately I realized it before I got to the car ...checked the receipt because it dawned on me that it was way too high. Anyway, I explained to the clerk as I handed her the receipt and she asked to see my bag! As if! She gave me the credit but then never even apologized for her error. How rude!

I don't plan to make any big resolutions because I always fail at them. I do, however, HOPE to get back to the gym at least 2-3 days a week. I don't know how feasible that will be with Mom here...but maybe I'm just using that as an excuse.

Every time I go shopping with my daughter, I swear that I will NEVER do it again!!! I hauled her butt all the way to the Galleria yesterday and inevitably we got into it. She pouts and acts like a total twit and the day is ruined. Happens every single time. Ungrateful, hedonistic, egocentric little twit!!!!

One of the stores where she bought some things was Urban Outfitters....are any of you familiar with it? Have you ever been in the store? OMG!!! It's like walking into a porn studio!! One half of the store is clothing...the other half is just stuff....books, things for the house, party gifts, etc. I browsed around over there and the sex is just so IN YOUR FACE! I'm so concerned about the attitudes this generation has in that regard...it's everywhere....that sex is just another leisure sport. I was shocked...and I don't shock easily. She had a list from American Apparel and when I went to that website I, again, was shocked at how the models all looked like they were posing in a cheap porn film. I refused to do business there and my daughter even said her cousin (who's 12) is "too young" to visit the store!!!? Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about here??? Oy.

Terry, never been to urban outfitters, sounds like a real eye opener!!! I really wish I would have had kids, but at times like this I don't know how I would have handled the situation, so I am glad I don't. It is scary the things the kids know and do at this young age!!! Plus it makes me feel old!!!!!!!

I just looked at the clock and have one minute to get in the shower and ready for work!!!

Bye and have a great day!!!

PURPLE POWER TO YOU DENISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, Violets.. Been up for awhile, Tracy, just now getting to the computer. Had to let the garage dog our for her potty break and a little running. Got to tell you it's like a fairyland out there today. It snowed last night and all the branches are covered with snow. Everything is fresh and white and beautiful. Took some pics for you to see what it's like in this neck of the woods.

We have company coming for dinner again tonight and I have a little cooking to do this afternoon. Most of the stuff is ready. The table is set and the entree is marinating. Just have to make the spinach pie later on this afternoon.

My newest angel charm is sitting in my purse. Hopefully I'll be able to wear it on Tuesday when I weigh in. Monday we are going to a Pistons basketball game. Can't wait!!

Tracyk....... great job on the pounds.. you're just melting away!! And Jennifer.... I've been bypassed by almost everyone on here as far as pounds lost, but I'm still so happy at what I've accomplished since April. I LOVE my band and I LOVE the new me!!! Right now I'm trying to get half an english muffin with Peanut Butter down my throat, but it's not working. I'm stopping at half of a half. A year ago I would have had two whole muffins and still have been grazing all morning.

At dinner last night, I set the table with my Christmas dishes and when I sat down to eat with company, I couldn't believe how big the plates were! I haven't used a dinner plate for myself since April. I definitely could tell what size portions I eat when it's sitting on that great big plate! A year ago the plate would have been filled to overflowing.

I know I'm not the only one that feels these things. I know we are all amazed at how differently we view food these days. And yes, the temptations are there and yes, we do indulge, but then we THROW THE STUFF OUT and get back on track.. right Denise?? RIGHT????

Tracy.. I'm so glad my kids are grown and I didn't have to fight with DD about her clothing. She has always been level headed about fashion and not into the sexy, in appropriate stuff. I was blessed. She's grown into such a terrific young woman. Now, if she can just get pregnant, she'll be perfect!!

Well, better get out of here and get showered and dressed for the day. Everyone have a good one!!

TTFN.......

Morning gals

TracyK- I'm trying, I've been good but everyone is home this week and most of next and it really screws up my schedule. Next week I'm going to talk to my friend about the ailrline job. I would be loading cargo on planes leaving albany but the training is at continential airlines in Huston so I would be there for 2 weeks.

Laura - that would make me so mad... for $40 i would insist on them watching the tapes.

Terry - I've never heard of that store... very interesting.

hope everyone has a good morning. going to drink coffee, it was so dark out last night i couldn't tell if it was recycle day and sure enough, i got up this morning and everyone has the bins out... so I had to bring my 4 out before coffee. It is beautiful outside.

Good Morning Violet~

Terry~ I know what you mean. I've never been to the store, but I know kids. I had the weirdest dream last night (that just popped into my head) about a student. Anywho...kids think they've invented sex. That they have unlocked this secret and that they are invinsible. Remember the 60's or 70's??? And if you don't remember it...google "sexual revolution". Every generation seems to push the envelope. In my opinion, sex these days is just sooo out there. We didn't have the internet. We all knew the kid in the neighborhood who had a dirty mag to look at...and that was all we had. Now, the internet makes sex soooo common, that we as a society become desensitized to it. Every year I get older...I have heard myself say "kids these days"!

Can't remember any personals I was gonna do. Oh yeah...Jenn...I win the slowest loser award. So anytime you feel like you've been blown away...think of me sista:D.

Laura~ Go get your ciggys! I'd be mad as hell! Good luck!

Got a bunch to do today! Have a great day!

Real life joke of the day.....

I get to the old place to do the final clean and low and behold no electricity! No vaccuuming?! OMG! Soooo, I thought well at least I can do the other things and just sweep up as much as I can in the areas I was going to vacuum. So, I get the "mean green" cleaner and spray counters, sinks, bathtubs....NO WATER!!! OMG!!!!! Dumbass me had it turned off yesterday. So there I am furiously with rags & papertowels getting up as much gunk and mean green as I can. Then I start sweeping, and I swept and swept then decided screw it and got in the floor on my hands & knees with a whisk brrom and dustpan, saying things to myself like 'is the deposit really worth it' and 'this is good exercise, keep going'. My brain was in a terrible tug of war. Oh well, long story short, I did the best I could and I hope I get my deposit. Oh, and I pray to GOD that whoever rents it next will rinse out the bathtub before they take a bath otherwise they are going to get a mean green rash........

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
