Of course, Macy, didn't want to go into the pants with you, Tracy--There was so much extra room in them she thought she'd be lost forever down into some bottomless pit! Wow, you are doing so well! I hope the move is going smoothly now that you got the house cleaning finished yesterday. Looks like some of your furniture and things are unpacked already.

No Christmas decorations came down today...but I did plan my 28th anniversary trip--only four more weeks! Bill and I are going to the Village de Val-David in the Laurentian Mountains about 60 miles northwest of Montreal. I'm so thrilled! We've been snowmobiling and dog sledding in that general area in the past, but I think we'll take it easy and just snowshoe and maybe try cross-country skiing. I'm so THRILLED!!! You know how I like to visit snow! We've stayed in St. Agate and St. Adele on previous trips to this area. Here's the link to our hotel: http://www.sapiniere.com/hotel-laurentides/a_historic.html and a link to the town: http://www.valdavid.com/en/index.php

And we're just a view away from Mont Tremblant!

The first time we were in this area (17 years ago) we were riding snowmobiles and stopped for lunch at a little restaurant in the town of St. Agathe. A police officer stopped walking along the sidewalk to really STARE at our snowmobiles pulled up at the curb, and we just knew we had done something wrong. The entire region speaks French, and you know, I'm a Spanish teacher. The officer comes in the restaurant and talks with the hostess who announces very loudly in heavily French-accented English, "Will the violators of our parking laws please come forward." You can imagine how embarrassed we were! We were ticketed for illegal parking--snowmobiles can't be parked on the street like cars. We were lucky, however, since we had rented the snowmobiles from a local dealer who just happened to be the mayor, and he said he'd take care of the ticket for us. He was very upset at the police officer since only visitors wouldn't know not to park on the street. Never heard anything more about the ticket, and the second time we returned to the area, probably twelve years ago, we rented snowmobiles from the same gentleman and were all able to laugh at our parking ticket.

I'm so THRILLED to have this trip to look forward to. My husband has absolutely refused to go on a cruise, but I do love me some snow! Judy, you and Bob will have to take care of my vicarious cruising now that I've gone on one.

Thanks for letting me gush, all. I'm so EXCITED!

love,

Cindy

Good Morning! NO Onederland today....... scale bounced back up to 202 grrrrrrrrrr (I had the camera sitting on the bathroom sink ready to go) JINX

I did eat more yesterday than I have been... so actually I think I won't get an unfill.

We got about 2 inches of fresh snow and its still snowing...... my truck (even in 4wheel slid through two stop lights, because there is a nice ice layer under the snow) the lights in question are both on the middle of a hill and I was on the down hill slide..... this is the most snow we've had in years so the city was not ready. Its Friday and we pick up the boys tonight.... the house is a huge mess because I have done nothing but come home from work, fix dinner, give Robby his bath and then go to bed by 8:00 p.m. (I have a head cold, and the meds knock me out for the night)

Have a great day!

Tracy I am SO envious and so disappointed in myself! :Banane34:

I have done nothing but eat junk food for the past month. I don't even LIKE sweets, yet I'm craving them like crazy. I got another Rocky Mountain chocolate basket today and ate and ate out of it....

**WARNING: FOOD PORN!!!

Chocolate, nut, caramel and candy coated apples, tiger butter, chocolate and caramel covered nuts clusters, rice crispy marshmallow treats with chocolate chips, caramel and nut coated popcorn, chocolate covered pretzels.... AHHH NEED I SAY MORE????

I'm up 4 lbs....My lowest has been 208.8, and this morning I was up to 212. I need to stop, but for some reason my willpower has left....please send Violet power my way!!! :help: :sick :faint: ;)

Okay, Denise, I'm channeling my inner Judy: STOP IT RIGHT NOW! Not tomorrow! Now! Throw it out---Give it away--Just get it away from you. Each bite taken will encourage the next and the next.

There, not that all is gone from your reach, you'll be able to quit beating yourself up about poor choices (since we ALL make them) and go on with the lapband: making good choices, drinking your Water, and following the bandster rules.

You can do it! You wouldn't have gotten the band and gotten this far--you've lost more than 50 pounds, girl! You can cut the crap, even if it's Friday.

Do it, please, for yourself.

sending purple vibes with tons of support,

Cindy

And another thing, Denise...remember how cute, cute, cute you looked in those Victoria's Secret jammies from your Secret Santa. You can do this!

Take the first step--and get the crap out!

Cindy

TracyK and Laura (from a few days ago)~;):Banane20::Banane34::Banane20:;):Banane20::):Banane20::Banane20::Banane20::Banane20::Banane20::Banane20::Banane20::Banane20::Banane20:(said w/ purple love) your both skinny biotches!!!

TracyKS~ I've got nanners waiting for you baby...laxatives perhaps!

OK~ I had .4 cc's taken out today. Then we went to lunch and I ate 6 glorious oz of salmon, and about 1/4 cup of angle hair Pasta. OMG...it felt so good to eat. I've gotta be careful now...but I can't stand this puking crap anymore. I was thinking of Kat. She doesn't PB much, eats what she wants and lost a bunch of weight. So...I'll have to make good choices, but no more chips for a meal!!!! Yeah me!

Gonna snuggle up on our xmas present and watch a movie. We just watched Eastern Promises. Very good, but very violent. Have a good night everyone! Gonna take friend to airport then going to dance class in the am.

I'm home! Roads varied from dry to ice packed and slick. They scheduled Dads surgery for 2 weeks from today on the 11th. We are praying he does as well with this one as he did the first side, and then maybe we will have some time with no surgeries planned!!

Went by Burlington, bought Mom a new coat, and bought myself a new top to wear for New Years Eve, and also to Ricks Winter Party at work on the 5th. Found one I loved!!! It looked good on--but it had these glittery swirls---and it shed glitter like crazy! I had it in my hair, on my eyelashes, and my jeans were covered. I knew I would trash the house, and the car, and anywhere I went, so I hung it back up!!! The one I chose shows some serious cleavage, DH will love it!

TracyK---I love the pictures!! Rick ask me the other day what I did with the pants I saved---one of my old jeans, I told him they were in the shed, with all the other cast offs!! When I dig them out, I think I will do a picture in them, I am betting I can almost fit in one leg! You have done such a good job!!!

I think all of us are ready for the fresh start of a New Year. Jenn has the right idea, she is setting everything in motion for it to begin on an upswing! I think I will follow suit. Get everything in order, pay all the bills---clean the house extra good, wish I could go see Jane for a trim---I need a new haircut!....But just get all my ducks in a row, ready to step into 2008 with all in order!

I too drink tea....decaf with sweetner all day every day!!! I drink Water but not nearly so much as tea! My DH calls it colored water! If there is no caffeine, or sugar, it is just colored water he says!!! Of course the same could be said for his Decaf coffee!!! We also buy decaf Diet Coke and decaf Diet Dr. Pepper!!! So when we go out, and order tea, or him a Diet Coke, we come home wired, we are not used to the caffeine!!

New Years Resolutions.......

First the obvious!!!

GET TO GOAL WEIGHT!!!

Exercise more

More water

Save some $$$$

Other than those obvious ones!

Go visit my brother at his house more often.

Quit letting Kinsey use my car as a second toybox---if we take it out---we bring it back in!!!

To learn something new....not sure what yet---a new hobby, a new language, belly dancing---just SOMETHING!

Well, I am off to read some email, and then head to bed...thanks for all the Purple thoughts and prayers as I hit the ice today! It is already cold out---actually it stayed that way, it only got up to 22 today, and is already down to 9. Supposed to make it to the upper 30's tomorrow~~~~it's a heat wave!!!

Talk to ya tomorrow girlies!!

Kat

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
