Hello everyone!! I am back! Drove through hard rain most of the day, but am back. Had a great and relaxing time! Went and saw the movie "Enchanted", too funny! It was stupid, but funny, I really enjoyed it, didn't have to think about anything at all to understand it or get anything!! No deep thoughts!!!

TracyKS great picture!!! You can tell a HUGE difference this picture!!! Congrats!!!

Terry love the outfit that you bought!! They changed the sizing of the pants at Catherines and I now wear a size 5 or 6, so I didn't mind telling my size with that!!!

Pamela, your trip sounds soo nice!! I am sure it is fun to plan it also.

I love the color of your walls Laura!!

Well I am off to get some stuff done here, talk to you later!!

Jane

Laura, Love the color you used, everything looks great.

TracyKS- You are amazing and you look wonderful. All day long I have been thinking about you and the fudge and just keep reminding myself that I can do it too. I'm gonna be the one to Not stuff myself with the goodies. By the way, what kind of exercising do you do? I don't think I have ever heard you say you do anything.

Getting things in order. I have a huge week ahead of me. Starts out swimming in the morning than coming home to get ready to go to my new job. I'm so excited. Than I go see Dr Malley for a fill. Have a few things later in the evening to do. Than Tuesday is my twenty fifth wedding anniversary. I have weigh-in in the morning and than I think I have to work again. Than I have to be at Center Pointe Hospital to start my stress test. It's a two day procedure, so I have to go back again on Wednesday. Hopefully Darrell and I can go out to dinner Tuesday night but with me just getting a fill I'm sure I will be eating off of his plate.

It's been bitterly cold here today. My feet can't seem to get warm.

Everyone have a great evening.

Hiya peeps~

Laura...love love love the color! I am a big fan of color in my home! I have a 2 CFM red walls(candy apple) in my living room. Den is warm honey and my den is lite blue. Bedroom is lavendar! Anyway, love the pix, color and the tree!

And Miss Tracy~ WOWSER...(said w/ love) you are one hot skinny biotch! You really look great honey and we are all so proud of you!

Suzie~ 25 years that is amazing! We should all be so lucky.

I am jealous of ya'll getting your tress up. We are waiting until the 15thish, so it lasts until after the New Year...at least till NY's day.

Janie~ That movie sounds cute. Everyone is talking about it. There are so many movies out now, I love it.

I got lucky and Susanne stayed here today. She'll leave @ 5am (in full uniform) and drive home then to work. I am so glad though...I love spending "lazy day" w/ her. Made spaghetti (w/ cappellini). So the whole house smells good like garlic.

Have a great night everyone!

Evening everyone--

Wow---I have been running around like crazy!

Tree is up, house is decorated inside, will do the outside lights in the next couple of days. The weather has cleared, and Rick is off, so shouldn't be an issue. We have our outside lights down to an art!! We set the cuphooks in the wood part of our eaves years ago. We have changed the type of lights a time or 2 but with the hooks it remains pretty easy! I have an antique wagon wheel (actually off of Ricks Great Uncles wagon) on our porch, and we wrap it, and the porch posts. Then go out and wrap the gas light post, and tie on a big red bow. I have these large wooden deer, we set up, and it is a done deal, we can go from them being in a tote in the shed to done in a half an hour!!

Still need to do my cards. I am mailing my Secret Santa tomorrow. Finally got a box that works ok I guess, not what I wanted for it, but it will work.

Rick goes on vacation again tomorrow---he has 5 weeks paid, and buys a flex week each year, and with comp time, and personal days---he has had quite a bit of free time this year---we just have not gone much, did a lot of close to home (300-400 miles) bike trips this year. Anyway with him home, my schedule goes out the window....so expect me here when you see me! We are planning to head to Albq. for a fun day sometime this week---do some shopping, and what all.

As for gifts for DH's---sorry I cannot help, we don't buy for each other in the traditional sense. We usually decide what we want and buy it together---or plan a trip somewhere together. We do the same for our birthdays---they are only 2 weeks apart. We did the gift buying for years, but when we said we would only spend such and such, one of us always broke the rules, and then it got to where we were where you are now, and could not come up with something the other really wanted or needed. So we bought this awesome, super soft, comfy leather reclining love seat many years ago. We snuggled and cuddled on that love seat for years---and have bought something together ever since!!! That is what we are going shopping for in Albq. we have been tossing ideas.

Yes we have both a Zune (30-chocolate) and an Ipod (80 classic- black). Love them both. Love the availability of Ipod accessories---but the sharability of the Zune is a lot simpler if you plan on having more than one or know of someone you will be swapping music or pics with.

Well, I am off to bed---I won a massage bet--wooo hoooo!!! Yea me!!

See ya tomorrow!

Kat

Tracyks- you look great

Laura - that is a nice color... you must be exhausted all that painting yesterday

Pamela - I am just getting into lots of colors. My walls are a tan, in my living rooms and going through the hall upstairs, mom's room is a golden color, dd is bright green and ds's is Navy blue, and mine is a deep brown and I have chocolate accent colors in there. I am going to do my back room a rust color to match parts of my kitchen and my bathroom off the living room sage. I love warm colors. dd's room stresses me out completely but she likes it and I don't have to go in there. LOL

well, I'm just getting in from work and going to pass out...

tomorrow is a new day for me people. I have to do this and do it my way, I am not listening to people tell me not to hit the gym every day...

Suzanne--is it a 2 day test, or do you just have to go for like a holter monitor hook up?

Will be thinking of you!

Kat- Starting tomorrow morning no food or drink after 7am. I report to the hospital at 1:45 and they will give me an IV. I than walk on the treadmill for about 5 minutes and than they inject a heart tracer into the IV. Than I leave to go get something to eat and come back and back on the treadmill for I don't know how long. From there I go for X-rays. Wednesday morning again nothing to eat or drink after 7am. Back to the hospital at 1:45 and hooked back up to the IV. I just lay there and they run some test, go out to eat and come back and lay there some more and than back to X-rays. I think that is how the nurse explained it to me. I talked to Nikki on Friday. She's Dr. Malley's nurse and we determined that it's not the band. It hasn't slipped or anything. She called again later on to check on me and said that Dr. Malley would call in a prescription form me if I needed it. Told her I would just call my regular Doc if needed. I did get some gas-x and tried that. It helped a little.

Starting my new job today. But first off to go swim for an hour.

Everyone have a great week and let's all try to keep on track. I's a new week and we can all do this.

Ok, gotta vent...

WHY AREN'T I LOSING ANY WEIGHT?????????????????????????????????????

!+@_#)$(%*^&!!!

I am getting very frustrated! I think I've been patient enough!! It's been 5 weeks & I've lost 2 lbs!! Maybe!!

I keep telling myself that it'll come, to just keep eating properly & exercising -- AND I AM!! -- so why isn't it working??????????

I'm getting to a bad point here... I can feel it... & it's worse because of this time of year... bad food abounds... not wanting to go out in the cold to exercise is an easy excuse not to... I don't need this now!!!

I am not a happy bander at this moment. 2 more weeks 'til my fill appointment (so much for their friggin' "cancellation" system!!)! I am so frustrated & mad! I don't want this to be it!! While my loss has been good, this is still where a lot of you STARTED!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

I am going to work off this frustration @ the Y now... for all the rickin' frickin' good it does me... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

Hey Violets~

Michelle...A little bird's (Judy) voice popped into my head as I was reading your post...Patience and Trust! Hang tough honey...this too shall pass. I am just trying to behave and get through the holidays. I am stuck between 250 and 252 (although I did have one day at 249). I know it will happen. Hey, If I (the slowest loser of the Violets) can still be posititve...anyone can!:P

Suzie~ Good luck today with everything. The stress test and your new job!!! Forgive me, maybe I missed the post, last I left off you were offered 2 jobs the same day...which one did you pick? Where do you swim? It is a bit chilly for a swim, isn't it? (Or is that the little fat girl making excuses).

Have a great Monday! I have 2 meetings at 2pm..that should be interesting.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
