Can anyone tell me how many calories 1/2 c. of ground turkey =? (sorry kat for the naughty ?). I made some spaghetti sauce again w/ ground turkey for dinner and lunch this week. I only add onion, minced garlic and prego mushroom sauce (120 cal for 1/2 cup.). I can't find the calories for turkey (and honestly, don't have time to do it now). If someone can look it up on some site they use all the time and let me know, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks Judy!!! So, am I right...1 c. of turkey sauce = 320 cal? I don't think onion or garlic have any cal. I think I am doing this correctly...but you never know.

Thanks for checking on this for me. I know that w/ just a cup of the stuff...I am pleasantly full, had lots of protien and enjoyed a warm dinner. Since Susanne LOVES spaghetti, it is nice to make us both happy!

hi gals

just getting in from work. I went out last night again, boy I am going to be good for a few weeks. I only had 2 drinks all night but... holy smokes, was I happy. LOL I had our last football game today and I had to do concession stand at 11:30am. I am beat. Was down to 207 this am, didn't update my ticker but was happy with that. I was very good food wise today but I feel bloated. I have a horrible pain in my back, I think it is from wearing big shoes and having to lean over to work on the pizza counter. I just took a naporxin, so hopefully I will sleep and feel better in the morning

Pamela, nice car

Judy - you must be getting so excited about your next cruise.

Good morning everyone!!

Love the car Pamela!!! I am envious.

We have a cold front coming in mid day...I can not wait. I plan to be outside when it blows through. I think its awesome to be outside when one comes through. Feeling the temp drop is fun to me. Am I just weird or what? But, living in SE Texas, cold fronts are a big deal! The high the next few days is the 60s. Woohooo! Terri-are you as excited as I am abut the weather?

Judy...you are right, this will be your week to show a scale victory!! I am not weighing for a while, still TOM.

Jennifur-you are knocking on onederlands door!!! COOL!

Everyone have a great day!!

(Kat-these are for you to use at your leisure...????????????????) :)

Thanks so much for the ???????????????? TracyK, but copy & paste everytime I want a ???????????????? is going to be a PITA......But I like that now I can click paste and have a whole buncha ????????????????'s I feel blessed....and we all knew I didn't know everything anyway!!!

Awwww Terry, I wanted to get riled up at something besides my outlaws!!! LOL I am in overdrive with them anyway, all the family is due in this weekend, so to prepare for THEM....WE are supposed to work overtime for his Mom, and as for me...It ain't happenin'!!!

Maybe it is because I am not feeling 100%, but man I am grouchy as heck with them!

It is cold here this morning. It is about 20 out, and our high is not quite 50 today----brrrrr. Got the fire going though and it is a nice toasty 75 or more in here now! It is necessary for it to be warm, my Princess is walking around in a tutu and high heels!! OMG she is sucha girly girl! I told my friends on another thread, she is 2 years old and likes her nails painted, and her clothes pink---her Mama has fun in front of her! I remember her Mama sitting in front of the mirror at 5 and crying because her Doggy ears (in her hair!!) were not even---one looked higher than the other! And she was a lot less girly than this one! She could be fun!

Rick wants me to go to a friend of his from work, and look at some Boxer puppies today. I don't want to! If I look I will want one, and I really want a little border collie cross of some sort......hmmmmmmm

Well, I am going to go get the keyboard fixed today----so I don't have to rely on y'all for my ????????????????'s ....although believe me, I do appreciate them!!!

I am off to eat something for Breakfast, will check in with you girls in awhile.

Hugs~

Kat

Good morning! Pamela - Your car is too cute! I love white cars but would never get one because I couldn't keep it clean!! And I work for a carwash!! I know, I'm bad. I'm always driving around in a filthy car and I get all the free carwashes I want....

Well I added my name to the trip list. I'm so excited!! I wonder if the house we're renting has a hot tub? Will it be cool enough to use it? I don't know about the weather up there in April...

Thank you Terry! I had a wonderful weekend. We drove over to the Coushatta on Friday and we stayed until Sunday. I was telling everyone I met that I had just turned 21 and the great thing was that they believed me!! Or they were just being nice, LOL!! Yeah, that was probably it!! :biggrin1:

TracyK - I'm waiting on the cold front too!! It's dark and stormy outside right now and that just puts me in the mood to work work work! Hopefully it'll stay cool enough so that I can crawl into my jammies when I get home. I think I'm making chili for dinner...

Jennifur - I had a dream about you last night! I dreamt that I was in New York and I had asked you to come pick me up and then we were driving and we got to a beautiful beach and then you left me there! And I was barefoot? LOL, when we meet I'll take a taxi to where you're at!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
