Gina - this will be my third fill. I'm at 1.75cc of saline so far.

Jen, I'm so sorry for the drama. Doesn't your mom know you don't need that right now?? Sorry about the Water retention as well. This humidity sucks! That is great you are getting your friend back. Just don't forget about me ok? :)

 for Kat

So this morning I weighed myself for the first time this weekend - and.....

I'm down to 240.5 so that is 76.5 lbs lost in 1 year and 22.5 lbs lost since surgery :clap2:

Congrats on you weight loss!!! You must be feeling fabulous and looking pretty darn good too!!! :whoo:

I thought it was quiet too! I had to be at a CPR class this morning - I haven't renewed my CPR cert in 4 yrs because I'm not doing direct patient care, but more of administrative/director position. However, my daughter is getting ready to finish her pre-req's and apply for the nursing program so she had to get her CPR cert, so I took the class with her...we were partners. :)

There are some new things that I learned as they changed the compression/ventilation ratio and added the AED training since I last took the course.

The one thing that I didn't remember was how physically tired I was after doing chest compressions and ventilation, AED and Heimlich maneuver for 6 hours! No need for the gym today - it was a great cardio and upper body work out! LOL *whew* :faint:

Just checking in before I get going w/ the evening routine...

Did everyone remember to send Laura good Violet thoughts today for her poker tournament?? Can't wait to hear how she did!!!!! (Tummy tucks for everyone??)

I had the mental munchies all day today... good thing there's nothing around to physically munch! Couldn't decide what to do for dinner (my whole family is out at various activities... I'm actually home alone!), so I just whipped up a Protein shake so I wouldn't be tempted to overdo w/anything else...

No matter how munchie my head thinks it is... My goal is to hit 50 this week!!

G'nite all!

FINALLY finished my necklace....now to do the earrings! I've been running errands, cleaning, packing, etc and working on this whenever I needed a break. This is my favorite necklace I've ever made! :) I love working with this bronze wire, but man, it's hard! Nothing like silver.

Terri~ It is georgous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow...you are really talented. You should start a shop or website and sell this stuff! My friends took some classes last year, but they are no where near your talent. Really beautiful! Have a great vaca...enjoy!

Hey violets~ Been a nice lazy weekend. Just what I needed after the long crazy first week of school. I've decided to resign from my junior college job. I just feel too overwhelmed. I will keep my 3rd job (which will now be number 2) online teaching teachers getting their Master's degrees. I really need to finish my doctorate degree this year. I am tired of working on it, and I want my office back! I will keep you posted. I am not sure if I can get out this semester, I may need to finish the semester if they can not replace me. But, I woke up this morning and decided...I need to cut back. I am tooooo freakin busy...and I need to prioritize!

Yes, TracyK, an island in my closet. The island will have 8 drawers, 4 on each side. Remember, I turned the largest room in the house into a walk-in. So indulgent I know, but if you all knew how it used to be, you'd see that I am now entitled.

Spent a nice lazy weekend w/ my girlfriend. We watched Lifetime Movie network all evening yesterday and all morning today. That is one perk of being a lesbian...curling up and watching Lifetime movies! Never could do that when I was w/ men...lol.

I was pretty well behaved w/ eating all weekend. I am impressed w/ myself, even though we ran to Dairy Queen. I don't care. Sometimes, life warrants you have an ice cream. I will make it a point to go weigh this week. I was 264 one week before my fill, can't wait to see what it is now. I can totally tell I've lost some.

Ok...waiting for Big Brother! I already know the outcomes, but I still love to watch!

Have a great night!

WHERE THE HELL IS JUDY?????????????????

XOXOXO

Terry - that is beautiful. I hope you have a fantastic time, you need and deserve it!!!

Pamela - you crack me up, I was lmao about the lifetime movies... but so true

Well, my insane dd who knows she is not allowed near ginniepigs (sp), not even in the same room. Well remember she stayed at the neighbors last night, well..... I thought they were sleeping downstairs... NOPE they stayed in the bedroom with that stupid rodent. So needless to say, today was a borderline nightmare, steroids started at 9:30 this am - treatments ever 4 hrs and then at 5 they began every 2 hrs. So guess where I just got home from.... yup the ER ! she was maxed out on her meds and she needed more so off we went, I will only give them so much at home and then I want it supervised. So we had the best medical team ever. I walked in told them she needed a treatment and i had a resp therapist, dr, and 2 nurses and a room ahead of everyone! AMAZING, some times we are there for hours before they even get us in. We were there and home, travel time and all in 1 1/2 hr!!!

she has such a stomach ache from all the meds and is up in my room, I'm having a little bite to eat, i'm starving, never got to eat dinner and had to leave to take her.

Thank god mom is back in town and could stay with ds so I didn't have to take him with us.

well i'm off to bed, will check in before I go to aqua aerobics or to do weights, I have not done that since thurs.

night all

OH PAMELA - Judy is on her cruise to Alaska for 10 days, maybe Wed or Thurs she should be back...

I think Judy went on an Alaskan cruise, didn't she? That's a 10 day-er i think. Well whatever she'd doing I'll bet she's losing weight while she's doing it!!

Just got thru packing ...good lawd I'm taking a lot of clothes!! Something like 11 outfits. It's so hot there you have to change clothes for the evening, then the casinos are smokey....so you can't wear anything twice. For San Jose I have to take sweaters & jackets. What a mess. I'm just glad it's done. DH and I usually go for long weekends so I'm not used to packing for a whole week.

Pamela -you deserve 10 closets just like that....and so much more. I had my tiny closet done last year and I can't believe what a difference it made. My challenge was storing all this jewelry and they did a great job. In my next house I will be getting a room for my beading (which is my dining room right now) which DD and i do together....so I can't wait to have the closet people help me design the perfect "studio". Yeah, you're right....I better start selling some of this stuff!!

It sure sounds like you had a nice weekend. AND I'm very glad to hear you're going to let go of that other job and concentrate on your doctorate. It'd be good to get that done, wouldn't it??

Jenn - I'll bet you get some of your energy back when it gets cooler. Those ovens and tropical temps have to be brutal and exhausting. Are you SURE you're getting enough fluids??

Laura - We're all looking forward to our plastic surgeries!! I'll need about $40K,so don't go spending all mine. Good luck!!

Well, I'll be signing off for the week, Sweet Violets. Ya'll keep doing what Judy does and take it easy!

Michelle - good job fighting those munchies!! I didn't do such a good job of it yesterday. I had too many carbs and that just messes me up so bad. Today was much better. I have to remind myself that just because I'm hungry it doesn't mean I have to eat!! In the old days I did because of my blood sugar issues, which are almost all gone now. But it's a knee jerk reaction to eat at the first sign of hunger .... that'll take some undoing. So did you remove all the junk food from your house or you just need to make a trip to the grocery store?....is that why you were able to resist so well? It does make a difference when the house is "clean" of stuff like that. With two teenagers I have a hard time NOT having muchy stuff around. I'd have a revolt on my hands! They're favorite snack is Toaster Streudel (YUCK!!).

Hey there everyone--

Heading off to bed here, just wanted to tell Terry to have a wonderful time, and your necklace, is beautiful!!! I am so envious of your talent! I don't think I have any special talent such as that...I do enough things to survive and get by---but that's about it!!!

Today I went to Breakfast with DD and DGD, I like going with them, my 2 year old Granddaughter and I share a meal, and we do fine!!! She loves pancakes--it is just comical...she has finally decided what she likes, and wants it all together, she wanted pancakes and broccoli for breakfast!!! We settled on bacon, eggs, and pancakes!!!

Rick and I went riding, and had dinner with the son and his family. I did nothing in my kitchen today except brew some tea!!!

I have something wrong in my mouth...it started on the inside of my lower lip, and has now spread all over my mouth. It feels like very fine sandpaper---and is sore as hell. Rick said it seems brighter reddish pink than it is normally, but heck--it looks fine to me, you cannot see the bumps, but I can feel them with my tongue. Don't know what it is, but it hurts something fierce!!! Any ideas???

Jenn, hope your DD is ok, allergic reactions are scary!

Pamela---my DH is very fair with the TV---if I see a movie I want to watch, he is as understanding with it, as I try to be with his....the difference is---a half hour into my movie (often Lifetime) he is as into it as I am, and a half hour into his (war movies--old westerns) I am into my book or on here!!!

Have any of you ever had a dream so vivid and so horrid, you had trouble letting go of it? I had a dream early this morning, that woke me up in such a total panic, it still reduces me to tears to think of it, it was so freaking real---I am having difficulties with letting it go. It almost makes me afraid to go to sleep tonight...and I am soooo tired, but I could not go back to sleep and am putting off going to bed tonight. HELP! I am loco!

Think I will go do a nice hot bubble bath, and see if it relaxes me enough.

Terry there is one for your other thread, that I am too lazy to go find right now---I can get in and out of a bubble bath without issue!!!

Night girls~~

Kat

Terri---Very pretty necklace!!! Went to a fancy schmancy art fair this weekend and some of the things they had were like that and they were charging OUTRAGEOUS prices!!!! Good luck in Vegas and on no smoking!

Pam---Liked your comment about lifetime movie network. Very funny and soo true that men would not sit through that!

Everybody seems to be doing great on their weight loss!! I started taking some Pepcid AC for my heartburn and it is almost gone, so don't know if it was the fill or not.

Have a good one!!

Jane

Pamela-How jealous am I of such a big closet? OMG!! But then again, I don't have 1/16th of what it would take to fill it so...my little one is fine (for now) LOL By the way, is Zack full of himself or what? UGH! Congrats on the decision to lighten your workload! I know how relieved you will be!

Jenn-I hope your dd feels better! I agree with Terri....are you sure you are getting enough Water? Be sure you are young lady!

Kat-I hate nightmares that do me that way! I have no idea what to tell you to do to stop having a recurring one as I had one that lasted for 3 or 4 consecuive nights! Good luck & Sweet Dreams!!

Good Monday morning violets!! Everyone strive to have an outstanding day!

Terri-I know you are probably already gone, but, have a great time and be safe! Love the necklace!

Morning Violets.

To answer the big question. I think I am getting too much Water, i have about 80-100oz just at work, I'm probably having too much. I am going to take my water pill today and try to flush some out.

My crazy aunt woke me up this morning about 10 mins ago. DD is feeling so much better, she is doing her breathing treatment right now, and then I get up and feel like someone is jumping on my chest. just what i need - to get sick right now. Anyway, I have to take my aunt to the store and the bank, just what I wanted to do this morning, but she doesn't have anyone to do it, so I really don't mind.

Kat - I hope you got some sleep last night, I am the same way, sometimes just so hard to shake dreams that seem so real

Everyone is doing soooo well. Congrats.

Terri...what wonderful talent. I've seen necklaces in the fancy stores that don't look that good.

Katy...as far as the dreams go and not sleeping, sometimes it's a med or over the counter med. Might want to see if anything you've started conincides with the non-sleeping.

Kity...ohh my GOSH, I would LOVE a closet like that!

The all the rest...great success today.

I've got to scoot to work.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
