Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Tracy.. thanks for sending out the rescue team to reel Pamela in. Couldn't have her floundering out there alone! Wonder why they didn't warn us they were moving our thread??? I too would be lost without the Violet sistahhood!

I'm waiting for DD to get here so we can go have lunch at Jimmy Johns. It just opened here yesterday and they have an "unsandwich" where the innards are put in a lettuce leaf instead of in bread. Just right for me!!

The temp is supposed to get to 82 today so hopefully my pool will be up to 80 so I can get in and do my Water aerobics. I sure miss that, though we have been biking just about every night.

Tracy... did you like the blueberries with the cottage cheese? ?? To me, with the Splenda, it's like a dessert with lots of protein!!

Stuffed zuccini sounds divine.. I LOVE zuccini.. and italian sausage. We're going grocery shopping tonight, we didn't buy very much when we moved since we knew we were going out of town for a while, so I'm looking up recipes to make.. got one now!!

Mdrai- We used the whipped cream cheese, but either one you get, the recipe tells you to beat (in a blender) the cream cheese with the 2 sugars.. then mix in by hand the grapes and walnuts. I don't know if the whipped version comes light or low-fat which is how we're making it this Sunday, but either way just leave it out for about 10 minutes to soften it a bit then blend. I was skeptical of this salad at first, but once I took a bite I was in a food heaven LOL!

So far today, it's 11:30 and I've had a bottle of Water, a cup of coffee with non-dairy Creamer and sweet-n-low, and 5 cigarettes! Been pretty busy today, one of my main CSR's (Customer Service Rep) was fired while I was gone, so I'm having to take care of my customers while they're getting use to whatever new CSR they were assigned.. plus they will be getting a new CSR soon, the assignment is temporary.. it's a headache.. and every other customer wants to know why she was fired, and of course we can't give out info.. so I just have to chit chat and laugh and make small talk and say "I don't know, they didn't tell us"..then listen to them speculate why they think she was fired. Weee!! Last month was my worst sales since I've been here, and I was going up in great intervals 15-20k more each month...I was bummed, then I found out June is the slowest month for this business, and everyone's numbers are always down in June. So far from the daily reports, I'm back on track for July. Whew. Our busy season starts in August.. when I started last June, I didn't get my first customer until about September, and it was a slow start. I had comparible sales with the alumni sales around January of this year, so this will be my first busy season with a lot of customers. I'm very anxious.. come on $$!!! Got an engagement ring and lay-z-boys to pay off (which came yesterday and OMG I love em).. and then I want to get a new bed... I always have a list of things I want, I love decorating the house.. and it seems by time I pay off some furniture I'm ready for something new. We have a queen bed, and it's so uncomfortable, we have had it for 2 years.. it's one of those stupid designs you can't flip over because one side is hard and flat like a boxspring. I noticed though, more and more people are going to that. It's so silly and wasteful.. Our bed is worn out on the side we sleep on, and I should be able to flip it over!!!! My walking back pain is gone, I was so excited.. the whole time in vegas we walked miles and miles to and from casinos.. and I never had my excruciating back pain which I normally get from walking in a grocery store for 5 minutes. That was the biggest NSV for me since surgery. Yay for the weightloss :)

But, I do get horrible back pains from my bed still. I blame the bed though.

You can RUN but you can't HIDE, girls!! I found you! (Thanks to Pam's freak-out post on the general board!)

Lots going on as always... Pam, you sound BUSY! Good luck w/the fill today! Thanks for the recipe info, Laura! & Kat... the zuch boat sounds great... a perfect solution for me for when the family has spaghetti! -.2 is the right direction, Tracy! Jenn... you've mentioned that book several times before, so I hopped over to the county library site & requested it! :) Someone hit a new low... who was it?? Well yay, you!! Was it TracyK??? I can't find it. Ack... I think I need to take notes as I read! Hope I hit the highlights of everyone! Good thing this isn't IM or voice, as I always think of lots of replies to everyone's posts as I'm reading them, then I get here to type and I'm like... duh... Sorry!

I am proud of myself today! I went to my 7:45-8:30am aqua pilates class & did better than before w/staying balanced, etc.... and THEN I stayed to try out the 9-10am "aqua core" (aerobics) class too! :) It was a good workout! I'm glad I went, as I never could tell from reading the Y booklet which aqua class was the little ol' ladies bobbing around not wanting to get their hair wet & which was the "real" aerobics class.. well, trust me, I found the real one! I was all wibble-dy wobbly when I got out! So then this nice lady from both classes tells me that she does both 2x/week! Oh my! So evidently, that's how it's done around here... you don't sign up for just 1/week, but 2/day 2x/week! I've got my work cut out for me! I picked up the Fall schedule & have to check it out to see what will work w/the new school schedules... it's 90-something here today... crazy to be thinking about Fall!

Ok, that's it for now... have to go work! Kisses!

Michelle

I love that crazy cook bood. I like strange Soups and stuff and it even has nutritional info for each one based on ingredients.

My fav is sausage & black bean stew, kids love the mac & cheese. Last night I had it out and made chicken & rice for my dad & my kids. I have made beef strogenoff, and the list just keeps going on. chicken tortia Soup is what we want to try next!

I love spicey food.< /p>

Anyway - I am nice and clean and ready to get to work - I'm off to go get some suck me in undies to wear sat to the picnic. just so that I'm not worried about my fat belly and actually have a good time

I hope everyone has a great afternoon and I'll check in when I get home

LOL Jennifur!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ALSO NEED SOME....."Suck me in" undies for Saturday....... I just went shopping over lunch and I did buy 3 things and tried on about 50.... two things fit now but will continue to look better with each pound/inch lost.... the one thing that is so cute right now.. I bought to wear Saturday.... it is a bigger size than I want to be wearing but it is soooooo cute.. I'll see if I can find one on line to show, but it is a brown shirt that wraps in the front but the center has a flap that ties around the neck with a brown wooden circle accent............

SEXY without showing skin......... my biggest problem with all the stuff I tried on today WAS MY ARMS!!!!!!!!!!! How many times did I curse them today???? so many cute styles out there but all with no sleaves or capped sleeves!!!!!!!! HELLO ARM ROLLS! I am going to get my arms done when I lose this weight..... I can't imagine how bad they wiill look after 70 more pounds..........

I just had a (homeade) burger, 2 pieces of hard cheddar, and ranch dressing.. and I am stuffed.

Judy: I did like the cottage cheese w/blueberries.... it was different for me because I usually eat cottage cheese with lots of pepper... so making it sweet was a big jump for my taste buds, but it is a good Breakfast, especially one that I can keep in the fridge at work and eat it here with no problem.

Michelle: WAY TO GO on the exercise!

Terry: waiting to hear if you were able to run over to Spivak's at lunch.

Pam: When your done at your house... I need you and susannah to start on mine! LOL

TracyK: CONGRATS CONGRATS.. somehow I missed your new LOW!!!!

Haydee: where are you today?

MS_Jen, Josie, PUddy, GR8 and all others ... how are things this fine Wednesday?

OK, so I had to run to the mall during lunch (stupid clerk neglected to remove the security tag from some new pants I bought on Sun.). It's 12:45 and I need to get back to the office. I'm starving but, worse, I'm dying of thirst!! So I stop in Jack in the Box to get some tea and there's 3 people ahead of me. I'm thinking, "Man, I sure am hungry. I could really go for some tacos. I've got tuna at the office, but those TACOS sure look good. I love JIB tacos. Tuna....? ....or tacos? Tuna? or Tacos?? Hmmmmmmm." Then it hit me:

WWJD??

What Would Judy Do??

:)

I'm eating tuna at my desk.

Tracy - Spivak isn't in the ofc until tomorrow. I hope I get a chance to make it over there. I think I know the shirt you're talking about!! It IS cute! I tried on something like that before but with my little boobies it didn't look so good.

Good thing I went to the bathroom before I sat down to catch up, I would have wet myself!

I got boy shorts - I don't know If i'm going to like them but they were the only thing I even thought might work without looking like grannie panties.

You never know who might see them.... ONLY KIDDING!

ok maybe not... I'm so angry at dbf... it doesn't hurt anymore when he blows me off, it pissed me off... maybe that is a good sign?????

Hi ladies. I don't know what ya'll are talking about when you say that they moved our thre sta salad. It's got chicken, bowtie Pasta, baby spinach, a really good dressing. Lots of other good veggies in it too. I also made a Mandarin Cake to go with the whole theme. Everything was delicious but I've just had a harried morning. I make and chop and prepare everything at home and then I just pull it all together here in our office kitchen. We started lunch at noon and we are just now breaking from it. That always happens when we get the whole office together. It always turns into a long and lenghty meeting. With food!

So the rest of my day is pretty much gone. I've got a few calls to make and then I think I'm going to go home.

I'll check in later from home....

By the way, I didn't have a chance to read through all the posts but I did see TracyK's big announcement. WAY TO GO TRACY!! WOO HOO!!

TERRY.. YOU ARE A HOOT!!!!!!!!:):D Can't tell you how much I laughed at that one. Guess I've made an impression on your brain, eh??

I'm off to the pool for some Water aerobics and will be watching DH hauling 320# of top soil and 60# of mulch and 302# of patio stone to the back yard... bag by bag by bag, by block, by block. I'm guessing he'll count that as his exercise for the day!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
