Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Ok you Shrinking Violets! Don't have too much fun without me!! I'm leaving in the morning for San Francisco - I have a meeting there tomorrow and a seminar on Tuesday. I'll be back Tuesday night! This is the one part about my new position as a Director that I HATE! I hate being away from my family for 2 days...

Laura is now a married woman!!! I can't wait until she gets back to tell us all about the wedding!

TracyInks - I keep bouncing between 229-230...it's driving me nuts! I do feel some restriction when I eat now...I'm still able to eat too much though - I just have to eat slower and take smaller bites, being careful WHAT I eat too. I'm due to go back in on the 16th of this month, but I'm not sure if I want a fill or not...we'll see how I feel then.

Judy - I love your bike!!!

Everyone else - take care and I'll talk to you all on Tuesday!! :)

Good Monday Morning, Violets~~

I have not been a good dieter doo-bee at all for about the past week or so... man, yesterday w/my birthday... well, I won't tell you specifics as it would be classified as "food porn"... but suffice to say... *burp*!

I won't get on the scale. No way, no how.

Today I'm back on the wagon... I'm about to head out for my walk (haven't walked in 1.5 weeks!)... then will do liquids/mushies MTW... get my 1st fill on W (THANK THE LORD!)... so then it will be liquids/mushies THFS as well! + walk EVERY DAY! I need to get back that "invincible" losing feeling where the weight is coming off, I'm working out, eating healthfully, and feeling fine! That's where I want to be!!!

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Welllllll let me try this again. I had a post just about completed and the power went off. We're in the middle of a storm, but the good part is I won't have to Water all my plants today!!

The link to info about my bike is here.. Pedal Comfortably On The Revive! - contebikes.com

It's made by Giant and is sooooooooo comfortable!! But it is pricey. I didn't pay what they are going for now. I've had mine for 3 years now. I first saw it on a show about soap operas, can ya believe? They were showing new products and the Revive was one of them. Lisa Rinna was riding it and said it was the most comfortable bike she ever rode.. so of course I looked it up and found out our bike dealer in town had one and it was the color I wanted.. RED!! The rest is history.

Mdrai.... I forgot to wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY yesterday. And yes, lapbandtalk is right on the ball with updating your age. Imagine seeing the big 6-0 here for the first time. Sure puts me in another category!! But I gotta tell ya.. I sure don't feel it! I'm sure that 60 is the new 40, right?? RIGHT????

Kat.. great news about Kinsey and glad Rick made it through the worst of it and is on the mend now.

Ethan is here and getting into stuff already so I better go corral the child. Everyone have a great day!! And remember to follow those bandster rules!!!

Good morning Violets! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Kat, I'm so so happy to hear your baby GD is doing better. I'm sure she had hundreds of people praying for her.

I had a very nice weekend except for two things. I got my first and second PB this weekend. On Saturday afternoon I went over to my mom's. She had made pancakes for Breakfast and there was still a pancake sitting on a plate on the stove. I tore off a little piece and ate it. Two minutes later I started feeling a tightness in my chest. Then I started drooling and sliming. I'm over the kitchen sink and my mouth is like a leaky faucet. This continued for about 5 minutes before I finally threw up the piece of pancake. Then relief. Oh my gosh, so scary. And it hurt so bad. Sunday it happened again. I had had an early supper, around 4pm, so I got hungry around 9pm. I didn't want to cook anything so I figured I'd get 1/2 cup of Bran flakes. I sat down with my bowl of Cereal and after my first bite, ack! Again... So again I'm standing by the sink, sliming and drooling. 5 min later the bite I took came back up. What is so weird about these two episodes was that I had eaten fine all day long with hardly any restriction before these happened. On Saturday I had had a scrambled egg with bacon for breakfast, some tuna salad with Melba Toast for lunch and then the piece of pancake. On Sunday I had had an egg white omelet for breakfast and then chicken teriyaki with noodles for a late lunch, then bran flakes that got stuck. So... I'm taking it easy these next few days. I do not want to experience that again...

Haydee.. those things you mentioned are things my nutritionist said not to eat. Anything that can swell and get stuck is a no no.. bread, rice, Pasta, pancakes, cereal.. etc. I know some people can eat them, but I'm not even going to try. I really don't ever want to PB if I can avoid it.

Judy, my doctor had warned me to be careful with things that swell. He told me to take it slow and to see how it went, but he never told me never to eat them again. I've been eating bread, Pasta, and rice with no problems so far. I just think that this last fill is settling in and my band is finally telling me what it can and can't tolerate from me! I better listen!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
