kellbell5 35 Posted January 18, 2013 I am totally with you. I went in for my 3rd appointment today and was up in weight. I had the same realization, that I was already mourning my loss of food by eating more than I usually do. 2 Obeasta and Smilejoelle1 reacted to this

jerz 251 Posted January 18, 2013 It's typical. My preop diet starts on the 22nd and I've been eating everything in sight and saying goodbye :-( lol thankfully my ins doesn't require me to lose or maintain weight prior to surgery. Tomorrow I'm hitting up red lobster :-) 2 kloveburd and Smilejoelle1 reacted to this

kristy3k 1,133 Posted January 18, 2013 I did the same thing. It's very common. Just remember the mourning for food will continue after surgery and you will be mad because you cant go out and eat anything you want when everyone around you can. Good luck to all of you. This is a mental as well as very physical journey 3 Band Mom 3, Smilejoelle1 and Obeasta reacted to this

Eventually you will be able to eat anything you want. Your head will tell you take one more bite it is SOOOO GOOOD. However you take that bite and your stomach proudly says that was the dumbest thing you have ever done and your punishment will be to send it in reverse. Trust me after throwing up a few things you learn to listen to the tiny voice in your stomach - he is always right over the voice in your head. Please remember you will eventually be able to eat anything you want, but the key is learning Portion Control.< /p> 8 roundfuzzy, kloveburd, coolnessa22 and 5 others reacted to this
