Ugh rice. Boooo!

Ill eat a few very small bites of tortilla only after my Protein. I've found a few nibbles of bread now and then keeps me from snapping.

A friend of mine who lost over 220 lbs with RNY ate wraps from fast food restaurants when she was in a pinch. She would make two meals out of one.

I can eat corn ones but the flour ones do not get along with the pouch. Others in my support group are same way.

I try to stay away from all bread, but I heard if u are going to eat it, make sure it's hard and not Gummy. It is easier to break down in our stomach.

What do you guys think about campbells chicken and rice Soup? I use to mix a can with a couple of cans of Beans (ranch style gives it good taste, though it might not be so great for you), a can of chicken and a can of spicey tomatoes... think that would be okay?

Some are ok with rice in small amounts and that would be fully cooked (inflated). I would talk to your NUT.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
