What's the latest you eat?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what's the latest anyone takes in Protein? Last couple of nights I've been up a little later and by 11:00 I'm trying to go to sleep and my pouch is SO empty. I've tried drinking some Water to fill it but only helps for bit.

If your pouch is empty, eat! As long as it is not carbs it is okay. I dislike eating after 7 because I got very sick on ham one time and was up all night puking up my meds and the ham and it messed me up big time.

If your pouch feels empty I would eat a few crackers or something light and low in calories and fat. Since we fill up quick it will only take a little bit of food.< /p>

Actually last night lol I had a Protein Shake around 2230. I felt a little empty and wanting a snack so I just opted for the Protein my calories were only at 400 so I could use the extra calories too. Brought my protein level to 100 for the day. Idk if it matters but I have a late bedtime and do exercising at night and I like to sleep in the mornings.

I've not really thought about how late I eat. If I feel like I need something... I eat it. Usually late Im craving peanut butter... so I'll do a tablespoon of the planters nutrition... berry granola flavor seems to hit the spot.

Yes, if you are hungry or empty then eat. I know I was only eating three meals a day and I was actually waking up in the middle of the night with low blood sugar and I am not even diabetic. So now I eat 5-6 small meals per day and I feel much better.

My favorite is the cinnamon raisin granola Peanut Butter

yes usually before bed i either drink a Protein Shake or have some greek yogurt with Protein Powder and sugar free pudding mix. It sure beats the bag of cheetos i would have ate a year ago, lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
