nathaly 57 Posted May 1, 2013 I take seasonique. I used to be on drop and loved it. But my surgeon says no depo bc of weight gain and hormone issues. If they make you sick try to take them at bed time. HW 283. SW265. SD 3/22/13! CW
ECUJenn 116 Posted May 1, 2013 I just went to my obgyn on Monday and she put me back on NuvaRing. Didn't want to do an IUD because I haven't had children and didn't want to do Depo because of weight gain. I have taken NuvaRing before and she thought that was the best option for me post surgery. pookybear 284 Posted May 2, 2013 About the NuvaRing.....isn't it awkward to insert? And do you feel anything? Can it slip out or be felt during sex by either person? I'm starting Depo at the end of this month but want to be prepared with a back up plan in case I don't like it.
nathaly 57 Posted May 2, 2013 I also had the nueva ring. Not really too bad to insert and then you don't really feel it. The only downside is that my bf said it made me taste weird down below. HW 283. SW265. SD 3/22/13! CW
Sparklette 381 Posted May 2, 2013 I'm really wiggy about anything implanted or in there. you know? It's why I like my depo.
pookybear 284 Posted May 2, 2013 I'm really wiggy about anything implanted or in there. you know? It's why I like my depo. Me too! But if the shot doesn't work for me it would be my only other option. Definitely not doing an IUD or Norplant.

I'm starting Depo at the end of this month but want to be prepared with a back up plan in case I don't like it. If the nuvaring does come out while you're doing the nasty, you have 3 hours to reinsert it so its not a huge issue. I cannot feel mine, can't even tell its there, it's rather odd!!!! caitiegirly07 31 Posted May 2, 2013 Yes I chose because it is so dangerous if you become pregnant in the first 18 months because your hormones are crazy and you lack nutrients.
caitiegirly07 31 Posted May 2, 2013 Poorly bear when you insert it I empty a tampon holder and intern it into the empty case and then use that... No mess no fuss and no struggle
jerz 251 Posted May 2, 2013 I've been through Alesse and Seasonale but both gave me Migraines and killer mood swings. I just chucked the pill and am going to take my chances with mother nature. I feel better already. I'm 39 and will be paying off the fertility treatments for my 4-year-old for years. I can't quite believe that I'll suddenly turn up pregnant. Yes' date=' be prepared to laugh if I post I'm pregnant soon.[/quote'] Haha! That's what I said. After being infertile for 13 years I got pregnant. 12 weeks pregnant and 13 weeks post op. jerz 251 Posted May 2, 2013 Yes ladies, find the method that works best for you and gastric bypass. My pill failed and even tho I'm happy to finally be having a child after 13 years of infertility, it's a hard and exhausting road that no one should have to go through so close after having surgery. wannabheathy 4 Posted May 3, 2013 I've been infertile for so long I forgot that BC will be an issue for me again after I have surgery. Do they still make the birth control patch? I just don't like IUDs or implants.
