Premier Protein (Costco)

Recommended Posts

I recently found a case of chocolate Protein Shakes at costco "Premier Protein" (18 premixed shakes for $19.99) it has 30g of Protein, 1g of sugar and 160cals. Just wondering if anyone has tried then or know if they are reliable source of protein?

I've been using them for 8 months now. Love em and my labs are perfect. No Hair loss so the Protein must be getting absorbed.

Yes they are great. I have at least1 everyday. It's alot easier to get 30g of Protein with food than 60g with food so I try and drink one a day. I am not a fan of the taste but I guess it is the best tasting one I have found so far and convenient, no mixing . It's worth it for 30g of protein.

Our nutritionist recommends them also they are the better tasting of them all (most are gross) its not to sweet either most are loaded with sugar...I try to have one a day almost 2 years out...plus a premium Protein Bar :)

Is there anywhere you can buy just one of these or a small pack? I have a hard time with premix shakes and I am scared to buy a case of them. The website says Walmart but I have yet to find them there.

Worm its better just to buy a case. They really aren't bad. I mainly like the vanilla over the chocolate as its not as sweet

They are actually one of the best shakes taste wise made . My entire family enjoys them. Vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry is awesome. I buy them direct but freight is high. I have yet to find a retailer carrying strawberry except direct. Check local fitness clubs retailers for single one's. They are sometimes sold their.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
