gaflalo 0 Posted January 11, 2013 Hi everyone. Mom had her bypass Tuesday and is doing great and came home today. In the book she got for all the stages, it says in stage two she can have plain oikos Greek yogurt but there's 6g of sugar in that. We couldn't find a sugar free one. Is it ok to have the regular? Thanks!!
jenneliza 257 Posted January 11, 2013 Sure if she can tolerate it. I am 6 months post op and still can tolerate most yogurts.

ladyspl 161 Posted January 11, 2013 My dr said not to go above 15gms of sugar. I have not pushed it past 14gms, but the Dannon Lite and Fit Greek yogurt with strawberry or cherry, is AWESOME!!! It definitely is one of the ways I am able to make my daily quota of Protein, and still feel like I've cheated with something naughty. LOL
