Ready to Lose 0 Posted February 9, 2007 sip it. I recently ate 14oz can of broth 3 days out of surgery and felt MISERABLE for 8 hours after. SIP SIP SIP good luck
lisah25 3 Posted February 9, 2007 Sip. In fact, one way I could tell recently that I needed a fill was that I could drink in large gulps.
DebLPN 0 Posted March 11, 2007 My Nutritionist told me that it should take me an hour to sip a 16 oz drink. I sometimes get teh urge to guzzle Water or Crystal light and I really have to try to refrain. Usually happens if I've had something too salty before hand or after swimming/exercising. FOr ME, teh key is to stay hydrated,,constantly SIP all day long. Jachut 487 Posted March 11, 2007 I've just slammed down 3 huge glasses of Water, got back from a very big walk. I can gulp fast, but I'm not very tight.
amourette 5 Posted March 11, 2007 Have no problem with gulping liquids (uncarbonated of course), and I thought I would from this website, so thankful so far..........obviously you can't after just eating....................but no probs here, shows how different we all are really! lianna 3 Posted March 11, 2007 I can drink a 16oz bottle of Water in 10-15 minutes easily. I never "slam" anything down though, just drink it regular. Water should just about go right through if you 2 months post op. Only when I was very very very restricted (which I prefer to never be again) do I have to do baby sips and wait a few seconds in between.
*susan* 1,709 Posted March 11, 2007 It depends on how tight I am and what time of the day it is. Earlier in the day, I can only take small sips. But, by evening I am able to drink in large amounts at a time without any problem. Everyone is different and everyone's band reacts differently to different things. I believe it is a true learning process for everyone.
skyeblu79 0 Posted March 11, 2007 I drink normally, but I still haven't had a fill yet. The most it causes is burping.
Carlene 12 Posted March 11, 2007 If it's cold, I have to drink slowly (not exactly sip, though) or it will come back and re-visit me. And I'm two years + out and pretty tight.
TamifromAL 1 Posted March 11, 2007 I chug it! If I'm so tight that I have to sip liquids, that's too tight for me. Tami
waterlily1072 5 Posted March 11, 2007 I have to drink slow in the morning or if it's a cold beverage. If it's room temperature and later in the day to evening I can drink fairly quickly, but I cannot chug anymore.
MissyC 0 Posted March 11, 2007 I never have to sip. But when I first wake up, the first couple of hours, I have to drink more slowly or I will have pain/problems. Later in my day, I am able to drink normally.
LeeInDe. 0 Posted March 11, 2007 I can drink Water pretty fast. Geeze, can not wait for first fill!
