Today is my first full day at home since my surgery the 7th. I've been following the full liquid diet plan and I'm trying to stay as hydrated as possible. I walked on the treadmill for 10 minutes 2x today and I'm hoping to be able to do it again but it's difficult to get out of bed right now, my stomach is uneasy after dinner, I had cream of celery Soup strained and Sugar Free Chocolate pudding. Just wanted to share.

Congratulations on your surgery. Make sure you take it slow on the treadmill at first and get plenty of rest so your body can heal. All the best to you!

I too had the surgery on 1-7 but I am only on Protein Shakes Water broth and sugar free ice pops until next week. I have to walk 2x a day for 15 minutes my stomach feels okay but where the hiatal hernia was repaired still bothers me . I took a pain killer and it took the edge off. I hope this gets better:)

Congrats on your surgery as well, I'm hanging in there but my incisions hurt more today than they have earlier this week, without any drainage or discoloration but I've stopped the Vicodin and already lost 10lbs. How are you feeling?

congrats on getting through your surgery! it's nice to hear your progress. cream of celery soup sounds strange--I've never had that one ;) Are you hungry or just eating cause you're supposed to?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
