I know no one can give me a for sure answer. It all depends on my insurance, surgeon, and health. Just asking what you think.

A few years back I went to the Dr about my weight. I was givin adipex after a failed 30 day diet plan from a nutritionist . I took it for about 40 days. Lost 20lbs. I couldn't afford it one month and ended up pregnant so that's why I didn't take it any longer.

So my question is will they look back at that and possible use that 3-4 month monitored time? Maybe reduce or not make me do it again?

That situation just may help in documenting that you need the surgery and have tried other weight loss programs but I doubt that it would count as any time against a mandatory "so many month' diet. You are right some insurances require them some don't some have different lengths of time. But if yours requires it, it will start as you start this process., For starters begin a food journal, write down everything you eat and drink, This will help when you meet with the nutritionist. Have you checked to see what your insurance requires or the requirements of your Surgeon?

Most insurance requires it to he consecutive months of weigh ins and exercise documentation. This can come from your pcp or if your surgeons office does this you can do.the months with them

Usually the supervised diets (either 3 month or 6 month) are consecutive and "expire" after acertain amt of time!
