tzbandtobypass 48 Posted March 10, 2013 I have already been in a weight loss stall' date=' for two weeks now... It sucks now.... Only have lost 22 lbs since Jan 14th when I had my revision surgery, from band to bypass....very frustrated....[/quote'] I lost a lot the first couple weeks after my revision from band to bypass but the last few weeks I've only lost 2 pounds per week. It is really hard to not have the scale move at a faster rate. I just keep doing what the doctor says to do and hope that at some point my body will start to cooperate. 1 Marla reacted to this

mrspitts11367 17 Posted March 11, 2013 I had my surgery on Jan 30th. Lost 20lbs in the first 2 weeks I was home from the hospital. I have not lost an ounce since. I have been sitting at 265 for 3 weeks. I did manage to go to down to 263 one day and then It was back up. I have not been losing in inches either. I am frustrated to say the least. I go back to the Doctor on Friday March 13th. I am hoping the nutritionist will have some answers. I am gonna be really upset if i have went through all of this just to lose 20lbs. Marla 35 Posted March 11, 2013 Why is caffeine so bad for us please, been drinking unsweetened tea lately need more energy.....
nienie 113 Posted March 11, 2013 Why is caffeine so bad for us please, been drinking unsweetened tea lately need more energy..... First it is a diuretic and can lead to dehydration and getting enough fluids can be a challenge for gastric bypass patients at least in the beginning. Second after a gastric bypass, you are more sensitive to ulcers. Caffeine is something that may cause ulcers in some people, and it will definitely aggravate an existing ulcer if you've started to develop one. Third, I have read caffeine also interferes with the absorption of Calcium after a gastric bypass. So if you are drinking coffee while taking your calcium you may not absorb your calcium. I also found a great article regarding caffeine.
