Ou look fabulous, and so happy! Congratulations. Mine is on January 10th. I'm actually a little nervous to go to the dr this time. I'm proud of my loss, but don't want to disappoint my surgeon or myself. I feel like I can keep going-now if I can find the motivation!

You look great. What was your starting weight? I'm at the same weight you are-I had surgery at 240. I too haven't been this size since high school. What a wonderful feeling it is. :)

I definitely don't have a problem with losing too much. Im ok with the way I look at my current weight, but I'd rather lose another 15. It's so much harder than it was in the beginning, and I haven't been as mindful of my eating as I should be. In regards to my chest area, never been my biggest asset-but my hubby thinks I should get LASIK before boobs so I can see what I've got, lol. I told him I don't need to see em, I'll know they're they're when I don't have to push them up courtesy of Victoria Secrets!

Wow, almost to the 1 year mark...to think back to where we all were 1 year ago today & all we have learned! I don't even recognize myself in the old pictures, yet as I pick up a pair of jeans I look at them thinking "yeah right those are not fitting" so the mind has not cought up with the wt loss. I am no longer concerned about a number on a scale, my mind set is healthy & what I can do today to make tomorrow better. I feel better than I did a year ago & have no regrets! Love, love, love my surgeon : )

Hope you all are having all the success you can dream of. It's your tool & your destiny. Don't try to live through someone else's as your not them & don't have to walk in their shoes. Enjoy your journey!

Mine are pretty deflated but I'm still a D-cup. I'm in my 50's and breast fed three kids so I knew mine would go. They look like Water balloons that leaked half the water out. They look okay in a supportive bra but when I take it off they look flat and hang pretty damn low. Lol

I'm still losing but I'm hoping once my weight is stable that I can get my belly fixed. That's the only surgery my insurance will pay for. I'm okay w/that. My hubby spends a lot of money on his toys - I wonder if he would pay for new breasts? They're technically HIS toys. LMAO. :-)

Sorry to hear that Marla. Especially after all

you've been through. I've struggled too. I'm such a slow loser. I guess what I'm learning most from this is no two people are alike and I'm always going to be a work in progress. I'll always have to try harder, forgive myself more, and dig way deep for the motivation to stay on track and exercise.

I guess that's why people refer to it as a "journey", a word I never really liked by understand much better after living a year in this life.

Wish you all the best!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
