I'm just going into my second week and I am still restricted to 2-3 oz at a time so I can't be very helpful in this area. I'm interested in the responses that you get though. I had a revision and I may still be experiencing some swelling inside causing me to be so limited.

Keep us posted!!

Great so far thank you! I still feel like I need further assurance to making sure I am doing things right with the Vitamins schedule' date=' Protein and Water requirements but I feel it will come and hearing everyone else's stories and posts help a lot! I have my two week visit on Wednesday and I can't wait to get the hardware removed (staples are the root of all discomfort right now)! My recovery has been very smooth sailing so far though! Two previous c-sections and I feel they are very similar experiences! How do I start a threat to ask a question? Still trying to navigate and I am using an I phone so maybe that option is not possible??!! My only concern is I feel I am able to eat way too much, and I want to get a better idea of how much others were able to consume at this point of post-op. Thanks for asking Teka! Feels great to have support! I live 2 hours away from closest support group so this is a great community for me![/quote']

That's great to hear I haven't had any Protein yet still clear liquid diet. Ouch staples sounds hard! I don't have any (just steri strips) I wish I had something to compare the pain to its crazy. And did you figure out the forms piece? Sorry just seeing this. The support is amazing, I like 5 from family it's a mess! But here and Instagram have been awesome!

Are you on clears or just liquids? My saving grace has been Campbell's cream Soups strained. 2g fat 2g sugar. They have celery and potato. Also cheddar cheese Soup

I'm on Liquids. I have been afraid of other Soups because of the creaminess-so scared to dump, but I'll get some and maybe thin them out at first to see how we'll I can take them. Thanks for the tip!

I am down 15 lbs from the day I returned home from hospital- starting weight 260' date=' today's weight 245. It gas gone slower this second week then the first- i am going to hit the treadmill a little harder!

My new stomach is not bothered by anything and I am a little scared about that! I mean, the first couple of days I would eat maybe a nibble of Jello and feel extremely full, but by day 4 and still now I really never feel full- HOWEVER I do listen to my body and stop myself at the portion that I feel is appropriate but this is scary to me! For example I can eat 4 oz of Jello of Greek yogurt, 2 oz of malt o meal, 4-6 oz of Tomato Soup with out problems at all, getting in all liquid is never a problem, I drink 6oz of Protein shakes without issues- is this normal! I was expecting bites and nibbles only and that is not the case!

I am not sure if this experience will change once I am able to eat thicker texture but I am nervous as I want to utilize this tool to the fullest![/quote']

It's awesome that you're listening to your body, getting in all your liquids and seeing a loss. I'm not getting in all the liquids and Protein, afraid I will overdo it and either dump or stretch my stomach. I'm sure it has an effect on my energy levels-so today I'm going to make sure I walk walk walk and sip sip sip!!

I sure will! I go back to the Nut tomorrow and I am hoping for some good direction and reassurance. I have followed the guidelines and sample menu they provided fairly strictly, but we'll see! Thank you Hun!

And here I am... On the other side. Had my revision done Monday after noon. Im still here in the hospital. My surgery took 6 1/2 hours!! He said there was tons of scar tissue and lots of irritation rawness at the esophogus. He had to deal with all that, the remove the band, then do the by pass. Needless to say im on my pump still, and they've just given me two diff kinds of other pain meds. Plus medicine for nausea. Its a mess, but I've been walking and drinking my h20 and hopefully get to go home on thurs/fri!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
