Fabulous February!

Ugh I just had pizza for lunch! Hy did I do that to myself? I've lost 10 lbs on the pre op since Monday, and I just felt so weak and dizzy. Back to the beginning! Do you think I've messed things up if I don't have a single cheat until the 11th?

Just get back on track and do better from here. Don't beat yourself up! I've had turkey lunch meat slices and a couple crackers this weeks when I thought I was going to die....but oh pizza sounds so good!!!!

Tasted the fruit punch, tasted like REALLY bad cough Syrup. Couldn't even hide it in crystal light. Try ordering the sample pack of Syntrax Nectars, I didn't like them all but the fuzzy navel and Roadside Lemonade are not bad at all. I was able to just sip on em throughout the day instead of just chugging them to get em down. The Oreo (double stuffed cookie) was flat out fabulous!!! They're 100 calories and 24 grams of Protein which pretty much rocks! My new post op plan my three tiny puréed meals plus a Syntrax to sip throughout the morning, then another in the afternoon. Makes me think I can actually hit 60 grams of protein!

Right now I just have the Body Fortress Protein from Walmart. I hope I like it after surgery because its cheap lol

Surgery in the morning...7am, I have to be there at 5am.... So glad it's early so I don't have to stress all day!!

Good luck Monday peeps!!

This Friday I see surgeon and hospital and then next sunday I start my preop diet. Sooooo anxious!

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
