Kiesesassy when can we eat nuts. I feel like if I could chew up some pistachios really really well that would taste so good? I am almost five weeks out. I haven't tried anything like bread or crackers and don't plan too. But I would love some nuts.

I had some cashews the other day. I chewed them to mush (2 1/2 weeks post op) and they were delicious! I could only eat a few, but Yum!

Once and a while I will have a few almonds chewed to nothing. They are good for a quick snack at work I I can't stop. I was released to regular food at 8 weeks including salads. Not going there yet don't have room after the Protein. I will have a few crackers as well with a baby bel or lunch meat. I have mixed feelings about tuna right now. I need to try the low fat/ff mayo.< /p>

I am not really worried about the calories as I maybe eat 1 tablespoon in a week.

I have only been able to tolerate shredded chicken, shrimp and tuna so far and I am 3 months out. I crave salads and love a good 1/4 of a shredded chicken enchilada. I have a hard time getting down a chicken soft taco fresco at Taco Bell I eat more of the pintos and cheese cup and leave more than half of the taco.

I am having a stall currently I believe due to the fact that I started taking the pill again and my body is going a little haywire from it. I am still losing a lot of hair despite the fact I get in 100 grams of Protein a day and 10,000 mcg of Biotin daily as well. I'm getting a little frustrated with the stall and Hair loss. Any suggestions?

Talked to my Nut she said thr is no science behind Biotin regarding if it actually helps :( and it just happens, also my stepdaughter has lost about 100 lbs on her own and her hair has thinned alot!!

As far as Salads she said that we can at 2 month but to get Roman or Spinach cuz they r softer and use Olive Oil or Balsamic as a dressing No cream base to heavy, (just to get 1 or 2 leaves add a lil dressing and see how it makes you feel)

Protein Drinks you can add berries to the drinks just Blend them up For a change.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
