wyniki2005 9 Posted January 5, 2013 I had my gastric bypass 4 years ago . Starting weight was 427lbs, lowest weight after surgery was 147lbs . I had my first son 2 years ago and gained 25lbs and lost it pretty fast again after I had him. Now, I have a 3 month old as well but gained around 45lbs with him. Having a rough time losing the weight this time around though I'm a 179lbs now , can't wait to get the rest off again. Once you go through this surgery, you will always think you are big, no matter what size you get down to... Weight will be a personal struggle with myself for the rest of my life that is for sure... 3 Cheryl Barfoot, Vicki Loichinger and Shonabear reacted to this
kiwiladydee 402 Posted January 5, 2013 Thank you for sharing your story. U can lose it again! The good news is you are no where close to your starting weight even after having a baby! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

I am four weeks post op. of course I am in the losing phase. But I fully anticipate obesity being a battle the rest of my life. I am nervous about the maintenance phase. I wish you success. All I can suggest is to go back to first principles: Protein first, lots of Water, no caffeine, limit carbohydrates, count calories and regular exercise. Wishing you the greatest success... Vicki Loichinger 444 Posted January 5, 2013 Wishing you the best and so happy that since the surgery you have had two blessings added to your family. How wonderful. Like others suggested just go back to basics and get the Protein in. And maybe find some exercises you can do with the kids crawling all over you while you are down on the floor. I know you love how you are able to play with them that would have been so hard prior to this surgery. Let them keep you active,. Welcome
