OleHippieGal 275 Posted January 4, 2013 Once you have the by pass surgery. I know the surgeon doesn't remove your stomach, but what happens to it? Does it shrink up? pookybear 284 Posted January 4, 2013 It stays put and continues to create bile, which now enters the intestine to dissolve the food at a lower point, bypassing the portion of the intestine that absorbs the most nutrients.
