music1618 879 Posted December 31, 2012 Well while cleaning the house today I noticed I had a lot of clothes that no longer fit me and taking up closet space. So the clean out began and tomorrow The Good Will gets 3 bags full of clothes. I hated to part with some of them as I loved them so much, but then I would remember I can buy new clothes that I always wanted but was too big for! 1 sky reacted to this
JustJenn 542 Posted December 31, 2012 I did that that today too! Parting is such sweet sorrow! As much as I hate my big cloths I was sad to pack them up. My good will gets 2 trash bags full tomorrow. I wanted to find a woman's organization for my work cloths I have tons of business clothing need to do some research tonight. .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. 1 sky reacted to this
music1618 879 Posted December 31, 2012 I tried to sell mine at a consignment store, but they did not take women's sizes
worm2872 635 Posted December 31, 2012 I tried to sell mine at a consignment store, but they did not take women's sizes They don't take women's sizes.... wow Anyway, it is weird. I was putting away some spring type clothes and they are the size I am in now. I am afraid to get rid of them. I keep thinking I will not lose more weight. I have a ton of business clothes too but they are dress pants and tops/jackets. The places I found wanted suits and dresses. But try Dress for Success. LA GP 117 Posted January 2, 2013 Actually I buy a great deal of business attire from Good Will. You can get some great clothes for next to nothing, so that if I continue to go through sizes my cost for new clothes won't be as bad.
Jilllorraine 62 Posted January 2, 2013 I also tried a consignment shop. I took in 25 plus pairs of jeans... they only were going to take 5 pairs because they don't take "tommy jeans" they are too old. Lol! I am out of style!! Which is the truth! I can't find anything in stores that I like... anyway, They offered me 16 dollars. But the one pair of jeans I was buying was $22 (not name brand either) so I skipped it. I know they need to make money but the teenage girl was kinda rude. So I decided to decline their offer and take them to the goodwill. 1 sky reacted to this
