Im wondering is it possible for someone my size to ever get down to a size 10?? Thats my goal size. Looking for people that were near or above 400 lbs to start.Anyone out there?? If so give me some advice on how you did it? Thanks amd happy new year everyone!!!!! :-)

If you follow the protocol as close to the letter as you possibly can, stay active, and stay away from the scales - anything, any size is possible! Trust the process and trust your body to find its own way in its own time. You can't rush it. It's great to have a goal to work toward but even better to understand that your body will tell you when its at the right weight for you. Listen to it. There is no one size fits all. You're gonna love the new you!!

Awww man I don't know anyone but here there are a few near or close to 400.

Even if I was no where near 400 pounds I can tell you that I was 211 pounds & I never imagine ever thought I would be a size 2 from a size 18. Now I weight 124 pounds. I'm going to be 7 months post up tomorrow. I feel great & so will you no matter what weight & size we start. Nothing is impossible.

I was 376 when I had my surgery on 6/6/12. I'm now at 271! I never really thought about what size I'd be but I've been focusing on ideal weight for my height. I'm only 5'2". So my goal according to a chart I found ( height, weight, age and sex) was about 140. I have a long way to go but I've got a good start! I've only bought new undergarments. Just been shopping in my closet for clothes. Pretty soon I'm going to have to go so I'm thinking about going to Goodwill. I have a rewards card from there and they have a woman's clothing section.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
