Anyone else scared that the weight loss will just stop when they hit a pause? This week I didn't lose any but didn't gain any and it always makes me nervous. I know its completely ridiculous to think it will just quit, but I don't want to have suffered so much for it to stop now. Had the surgery 10-25 and down 59 lbs.

I lose slowly about 1-2 pounds a week...more often 1 pounds per week but, you know what.....it's still coming off. I'm still doing better than I did before I started and this time of year I would normally be gaining weight. If you're following your surgeon's/nutritionist's recommendations then you're doing the right thing and it will come off. You're body is going through lots of changes and it will have times it will stall or be slower...just keep on keeping on and it will come off. :)

Don't be afraid. You will lose. And when you aren't losing according to the scale you may be losing inches or other things are improving. Don't be a slave to the scale. IF it causes you stress weigh just a couple of times a week or even once. You are not going through all this for nothing, Just keep on keeping on. Wishing you the very best, Trust yourself you will not fail.

I notice when I stall something in my body gets smaller. My tummy upper leg wrist finger something happens so I know the scale stalls but you lose inches from your body. Trust me I should start using my measuring tape:)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
