I have been wondering if someone would be willing to explain the the ending months...I'm just curious on the sequence of events!

I have my month 5 weigh in on January 14th and then my final weigh in around the first week of February... I'm wondering after my final weigh in is that my final visit to the doc? If it is can everything be submitted to my insurance company? I was just wanted to get some insight on how the process works! Thanks! ????

I'll also be done with my 6 weigh in in February. My 5th weigh in is on January 2. Cannot wait at all! I won't be submitting to insurance till march though and hopefully surgery in April. good luck and hope all goes well for you! When do you want your surgery to be scheduled for anyways?

I really would love it if it was approved for by mid February and then scheduled in march, but when I first saw the surgeon he told me end of march beginning of April.

At this point I'm getting like overwhelmed with all the tests I need done. They aren't hard, but there are just so many that I'm worried I'm going to forget one and then things will be held up.

Good luck with you as well! I'm getting so anxious that the wait time is harder than these weigh ins.

I understand all the drs appointments and I am right there with you. I feel like I've had 1-2 drs appointments every week for the last 3 months. I have my 1st weigh-in next month and I have a sinking feeling that I have gained weight. The plan for me is to have all my testing and final weigh-in in early March, start my 6 week pre-op diet, submit to insurance at the same time (doc said my insurance is pretty good with approving within a week), and then once I pass April 22nd which is the day I quit smoking for 6 months then I can schedule my surgery for May. When I started this process I really thought that I wouldn't make it but it's looking like everything will be wrapping up in less than 5 months. I am tired of all the drs appointment but I know that in the end it's all worth it.

I think that once you have finished your weigh-ins and testing that the waiting for insurance approval and pre-op diet then you are good to go with your surgery. While April might seem so far away it will be here sooner than you think :)

Yeah... I'm just getting impatient and anxious haha. I still have to have all my blood work done, chest X-ray, the endoscopy, an electrocardiogram, my psych eval, and nutritionist visit to do... I had my first sleeping test last week and there better not be a second...

But I was thinking if I get all my stuff turned in by the first week of February I could possibly have it done in February... Maybe reaching a bit, but I can dream haha!

I know the feeling. If I didn't have to wait the 6 months of not smoking for my insurance I would be having it in Feb or Mar like you. They did put me on this schedule of testing at the same time as my supv'd diet. I think that was a good idea. I still have to schedule my sleep study....thanks for reminding me :)

We are almost there....but waiting does suck though :D

I know this may be a stretch for some, but I got all my other tests done in two weeks. I just piled them up on the same days. My surgeon just didn't tell me that the 6 month supervised diet was a thing so now I have to do that :-( it sucks cause I was hoping to get the surgery done over winter break before I go back to school in Feb. at this rate, my surgery will be in June. I wanted to look good for my 27th bday in July. Oh well! I'll just wait to super Celebrate my 28th.

My surgeon said that because I stopped smoking before I saw him saved me some time. I should be done with that in April and that's when I should be done with all my testing, 3 month suvp diet and pre-op diet. I really wouldn't know what to do with myself if I had to wait the 6 months but then again I have been working at this since August so it's been a long journey so far.

Keep calling the doctors office lol. I did because I didn't want to forget anything either. It's ok. They don't mind. Im sure they are use to it

Yeah I wanted to call today...didn't get to it though unfortunately cause work was so busy.

Did everyone have to have a sleep study done? If you did, did anyone pass it or fail?

That would have been smart of me to do cause I don't have issues sleeping I just put down j get tired during the day and stuff.., I feel like that test isn't passable because they tell you to sleep how you would at home, but how can you sleep like you would at home with wires going every which way.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
