lolawaiting 83 Posted December 18, 2012 I've stopped too Fred. My friend has this stuff called tinctures. It's spray w thc in it. She said use that for tummy aches, but just not too often. Even if you don't get ulcers from smoking, after surgery I don't want anything dropping my metabolism 1 punk.rock.mama reacted to this

punk.rock.mama 101 Posted December 19, 2012 Hi LB, I am also a (former) thc user, I had used for approx 15 years and recently quit (not just for surgery) aside from the risks that being a smoker creates for the "going under" part of the surgery, I personally found that on the two occaisions I have smoked (both times as pain management) since surgery (aug 9 2012) I found I felt sick, nauseous, got dangerous munchies and ZERO motivation to get anything done! I would honestly say that if you are considering having the surgery, which is a MAJOR life/behaviour altering process I would advocate for the ceassation of using all drugs, alcohol and tobacco. It jusy makes sense to focus on ALL aspects of ones health. Good luck in your endeavors!
lolawaiting 83 Posted December 19, 2012 Oh but how I'll miss it!!! lolol 1 hunni_82 reacted to this
punk.rock.mama 101 Posted December 19, 2012 I thought so too, but in all honesty I don't miss it at all! I thought I would miss all that junk food too, but I am SO much happier without all that crap dragging me down "It works if you work it, so work it you're worth it!!" punk.rock.mama 101 Posted December 20, 2012 I agree with the alcohol thing, I think it is deplorable that the government not only allows but makes a horrifying mockery of the damage it causes (illness, death, violence, destruction, addictions, abuse, motor vehicle accidents ect ect ect) but I digress, your question was about thc and I simply MUST reiterate that while it as a substance has it's own pros and cons, in conjunction with the surgery I do not believe it will assist your success by any measurable degree... 1 lovealways reacted to this

lovealways 287 Posted December 20, 2012 Hmm...Smoking may increase hunger and over time decrease motivation...not a good combination in my opinion after surgery. It may be better to avoid it. This is a lifestyle change! Good luck 2 punk.rock.mama and Lovebone89 reacted to this
