monikazgreat 4 Posted December 15, 2012 I have good days and bad days.... I had gastric bypass 11/21/12... I started at 361.8 and I'm now 322.2... My Protein intake still needs tons of work, Water is okay... I have been stuck at 322 for a week already. Thought it was too early for a stall... The emotional and mental part is constantly tested when I crave food... When will I get over it and why am I stalling so early on? :/
Debbiebydesign 93 Posted December 15, 2012 A week might seem like a long time, but I bet it is only temporary. In the meantime, congrats at what you lost already...am I reading right? 39 lbs in a month? That sounds great to me! Good Luck! 1 sky reacted to this

pwnykat 42 Posted December 15, 2012 I totally understand the testing. My surgery was 30 November, and I did my first dump last week. yep less than 2 weeks out I pushed to far. Before that I was losing 1kg (~2 pounds) a day. then I slowed to a couple hundred grams a day.... depressing. I had also started having juice with "reduced" sugar - watered down too - but I think that tiny bit of sugar really stalled me. Back on track now with disgusting fake flavoured juice and zero sugar. It might also be a bowel thing if you aren't moving that. My sister said the human body can hold between 7 and 10 kgs of poop in the intestines at any time - thats 14 - 20 pounds. so if you aren't "moving" properly you might want to try some alpine tea to help move things along. worm2872 635 Posted December 15, 2012 We are all in the same boat. My surgery was 11/19. Only down 21 pounds but I'm not complaining. I agree The poo thing is a big issue. I'm struggling everyday with food and Water. Hang in there. It does get better! 1 sky reacted to this
sky 87 Posted December 15, 2012 While its good to come here for advice and also to compare strategies, we should never get caught up in comparing our losses to someone else...this is an individual journey for all of us...i applaud all of us for taking the first step! 1 newlife4leah reacted to this
music1618 879 Posted December 15, 2012 Please always remember that although the scale may not be moving the inches are. Your body is still in shock about what happened. Give your self time and the weight will come off. Do t try to eat things too early in the plan - from experience it just makes you sick. Hang in there it will get better
Anniesmom12 181 Posted December 15, 2012 Just remember....do what you are supposed to do, stay with the plan, exercise and enjoy the journey. I really doubt all of us put on the weight in a matter of weeks, we arent going to take it off in a matter of weeks. Dont be the Hare.... be the Turtle! Stalls are no fun, had a couple myself....but bump up the Protein, exercise and patience...it will pass. Your body is going thru some big changes, let it adjust. Hope the stall passes soon for you!! But hey...you're on your way to a healthy you!!
