Thanks for all the advice its nice to have someone to talk to who has been there... can you tell me about your surgery?

I had my surgery on 8/8/12. My starting weight was 376, and i was diagnosed with all the extra fixings. Diabetes, high cholestrol, high blood pressure, thyroid issues and more. My surgery was really smooth, i had one complication three weeks after a spent a week in the hospital. Ive been good since then. As of my last weigh in on Friday i am done to 271! I feel great! My energy level is up, my confidence is through the roof. Unfortunately b4 my surgery i did not know about thos forum, i went in to this blind. I did not know anyone else who went through this and i did i did not know what expect. The only i regret is not doing this sooner. Don't worry the whole process is not as complicated as it seems. Just be on top of what ur surgeon request of you and you will be ok.

Hey how long did it take medipass to approve you once you were submitted?

The process was fast. It took about 3 month from start to finish.

Cool. I've seen my nut 2x. She said my last time will be just a weigh in when I meet with the surgeon may 16th. I see the psychiatrist on 4/22. I'm nervous but excited. I was just wondering how long it takes to be approve once submitted.

My friend did her sleeve with Dr. Bass. He is great! She had private insurance. Medipass only pays for gastric bypass.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
