DLCoggin 1,788 Posted December 10, 2012 Caffeine can be inflamatory to the new pouch following surgery which can result in unnecessary bleeding. I love coffee and I love k-cups. I switched to Decaf following my surgery and was quite surprised to discover that the decaf k-cups are almost as good as the caffeinated ones. It really wasn't a difficult transition at all and I was previously not a fan of decaf at all. Donut Shop and Green Mountain make some excellent decaf flavors! 1 mizzlaw reacted to this

jpr99 17 Posted December 11, 2012 What about DD iced coffee Decaf? My norm was Splenda with cream. If I'm able to go back to it I guess skim milk might be the way to go. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk Decaf is decaf - I don't see any problem. My one ongoing indulgence is flavored Creamers for my coffee. The 35 calories per cup have not been a problem and the enjoment I get is priceless!
DLCoggin 1,788 Posted December 11, 2012 I am two months out, how long should i wait to have Decaf coffee??? That's a good question to ask your doctor but I would think two to three months should be fine.

Haven't tried it yet since I'm only 2 days post-op, but it is one of my favorite ways to start the day. Or the afternoon, or the evening. Lol.
