So I'm a little over 6 weeks out and just can't seem to break through to the next set of digits! A couple of weeks ago I was in a roll and then "that time" came and I stalled that entire week. This week I've lost back down to before plus a couple extra pounds but am really feeling discouraged...I really expected the scales to move quicker especially since I'm diligent in Protein, Water, and exercise!

Just wondering what average others have experienced?

Comparing your weight loss to mine (or anyone else's) is always a mistake and a sure recipe for frustration. We are all individuals and all unique. There are just too many variables to judge your success against someone else's. Just keep following the protocol, stay active, and stay away from the scales for at least a week and two would be even better. You're gonna love the new you!!

Remember you may not be losing lbs, but I bet you are losing Inches. Stay strong and the lbs will come off. I have been stalled weight wise for about a month, but today I had to notch my belt tighter. So I may not be losing weight, but know the inches are coming off.

Agreed. My body does not seem to lose weight and inches at the same time. On days I wake up feeling thin, the scale generally hasnt budged

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
