jessouder 44 Posted December 16, 2012 I had my surgery 8/12, I'm down 52lbs. I have done great so far with my weight loss however, I am beginning to pick up old habits. I drink soda everyday, started eating Cookies, and my solution after a stressful day of work is to have a cocktail. I'm pretty much a loner, so its easy to come home and find comfort in these things. I am only 2 1/2 weeks out but I did go see my primary physician the other day with concerns about the surgery..I was a little upset when I walked in and I left feeling the best I had since surgery she made a very simple statement to me. She said "Set a goal for the coming new year, not a weight loss goal not something you have to do like take care of your family or go to work but an incentive that you are striving to reach. Maybe start throwing your change in a jar to save for that vacation to show off that new slimmer body" I know it sounds so easy but I have a new goal. I am going to lose this weight so I can prove to myself that I can feel comfortable pool side. Her advice helped me hope it helps you. 2 fabie and maria pepe reacted to this
