BustedBeauty 25 Posted January 1, 2013 I am worried about these type of comments as well. I've always heard from my sister how fat I am and how she's the skinny sister. My mom has tried to put me on so many diets when I was a teen. I've been the biggest person in my family for so long I'm kinda scared to hear the things my sister will say after I have the surgery. She's not supportive of it at all. I feel like I'm reading my own thoughts here... My sisters are 5'11" and about 140 lbs. my sisters think I'm cheating by having surgery, and have even said its to be thin for my wedding. I always just tell them that they are just upset that now I will not only be the pretty one and the smart one, but I'm going to be the svelt one too! I wish I actually was as confident as I come across to them :/. I'm right there with you!
kisersassy 369 Posted January 1, 2013 TakeThat back the worst comment I got so far is my own husband calling me bipolor when I tried to explain how I was feeling about how he doesnt listen or care about my thoughts or feelings... I've been so sick lately with all these complications and my husband said last night that I am making myself a hypochondriac.
pookybear 284 Posted January 2, 2013 I haven't had the surgery yet, but the nurse practitioner at the surgeons office told me I'm going to be beautiful after surgery. When I got home I told my boyfriend she said that, and he immediately said "She's an idiot, you're already beautiful." Some people mean to compliment but don't realize exactly what they're saying. 1 Vicki Loichinger reacted to this

melb1976 12 Posted January 3, 2013 It's sad that people say all this stupid stuff. I didn't realize how overweight people get treated differently. I have lost 80 lbs and it pisses me off how strangers are so much friendlier to me. They make eye contact too. Kind of off-topic but I was looking for a place to vent. I'm hoping that after the surgery she will come around because I'm going to have it anyway with or without her support. I'm wishing you tons of luck and may you be sexier than the rest. LOL. When us your surgery date?
Lebim 381 Posted January 4, 2013 It's sad that people say all this stupid stuff. I didn't realize how overweight people get treated differently. I have lost 80 lbs and it pisses me off how strangers are so much friendlier to me. They make eye contact too. Kind of off-topic but I was looking for a place to vent. Can I just say that before surgery I was lucky to get a guy to give me the time of day and now guys (ones I already knew and new ones) are flocking to me? Granted, it's sort of awesome, but regardless it's bullshit and is upsetting on so many levels. Though I'm a total hypocrite because I have never been attracted to overweight people, honestly. I've never dated an overweight person even at my heaviest, always thin thin thin guys. You can't blame people entirely... Nature makes us more attracted to the healthiest mate for breeding... After all we are animals... And obese is not good for breeding. Tammy1975 36 Posted January 4, 2013 I dont think people can ever realize what we are going through. I wanted to do it 6 years ago but I didnt know anyone who had it done until a year ago.
