bbjbbya 7 Posted December 6, 2012 So I got the lap-band ap placed on 2/17/12 weighing 269 on surgery day. I now weigh 280-284 lbs and will be having revisional surgery on 12-12-12 ... I never felt full with the band. It was either too tight and food would get stuck or too loose... im just happy that I will have a 2nd chance at weight loss and become healthy. Im a 25 year old wife/mom of two and cant wait. 1 momlambert reacted to this

Im a 25 year old wife/mom of two and cant wait. I just had my revision on Monday. So happy I got it! I'm not hungry right now and I never had that feeling with the band. I was banded in 2006. I'm 34 and mom to a 3 year old and I can't wait to play with her without getting to tired or short of breath after 5 min. Pre liquid died weight wad 240 and morning of surgery was 229. I'm at 233 right now but they say its just Water rention from surgery. Good luck to you and keep me posted! Lisa :-)<br />surgery date: Dec. 4th, 2012
momlambert 77 Posted December 6, 2012 Good luck to both of you--before and after! I never got the right fill with the lapband either but I was able to lose some weight. How discourged you must be, bbkbbya, to weigh more after the surgery than before you went through all that. Good for you to go forward in your Quest to be healthy. So glad you are doing well, Lisa! I'm going in on Monday for my revision. It's so helpful to hear stories like yours. Congrats!

I was 240 when I got my band and was right back at that when I got my revision. It is disappointing. But I am determined that this surgery will work! Good luck to both of you we can do this! plutomars 1 Posted February 25, 2013 How are the band to bypass folks doing? I had surgery end of November. I have lost 54 lbs. at exactly three months out. I have 65 lb to go. It feels very slow. Doc said revisions lose slower.
