DianaDominate 4 Posted December 12, 2012 im not the kind of person who drinks a lot. I only drink something when i eat and since ive "trained" myself to stop doing that i am finding it so hard to stay on my liquid diet. im only down 3lbs and i need 10 more to go so i can get surgery in 2 weeks...ugh. i know i should stick to it but its so hard. ive beenon the liquid diet 1 week already but cheated 3 times and felt so guilty after.. idc what people say i think being addicted to food is a real addiction. wonderwoman75 118 Posted December 12, 2012 I had cookie dough two nights ago. I totally get the food addiction thing. I know that having the rny will help with that. We will make it through. 1 DianaDominate reacted to this

DianaDominate 4 Posted December 13, 2012 its crazy cause i dont even cheat cause im hungry. i think i am just an emotional eater. The good thing is i didnt cheat by scarfing down a burger. I ate fish that was lightly breaded or something small. lol. I think the first two days are so hard because your fighting hunger/ your body flippin out/ and your bad habbits. Then it gets wayyyy easier... anyone reading whose going to do the liquid diet. just because you stuck to your diet the first few days dont cheat!!!!!! it will set you back and everyday will feel like the first two days. it does get easier. fireandice36 20 Posted December 14, 2012 Can I have Jello on preop diet sugar free jello! You can
snow25 188 Posted December 15, 2012 Depends on your surgeon. My doctor has me on a strict prescription liquid diet.. Optifast.. For 2 weeks pre op. he specifically says no food except for these shakes. I'm finishing up Day 10. I would go nuts for some Jello right about now!
mommy2boys 40 Posted December 15, 2012 Omg I just started and I'm hungry. I don't trajectory class.on what to eat until monday. Ironically I had to start my preop diet today. So im confused.. what can I have besides Water and Protein Shakes?
fireandice36 20 Posted December 15, 2012 Oh yeah sorry, I'm on Protein Drinks and I can have all the sf Jello and Popsicles and broth I want with in calorie limits.
snow25 188 Posted December 15, 2012 If your surgeon wasn't specific, maybe he is okay with liquids and broths and sugar free products. Hang in there and start guzzling Water. I stay full as long as I drink tons of Water. Hang in there! I weigh myself every morning and that keeps me motivated! I've lost 16 pounds in 10 days! Feels good. Hopefully you will be all cleared up on Monday. Good luck. When is your surgery? Mines Thursday!
