Baker_gurl 119 Posted December 4, 2012 Hi, I wanted to share a new daily Vitamin that I received from my nutritionist. It is from ProCare Health and is called Bariatric chewable One-a-Day. I used to use opurity and am going to switch to these once mine run out. They are smaller than Opurity Vitamins and are $10 for a month's supply. Here is the website: http://www.procarenow.com/Chewable-One-A-Day-Bariatric-Multi-Vitamin--30-ct_p_10002.html 2 mrsblues and lovealways reacted to this

Baker_gurl 119 Posted December 4, 2012 Nope, They are the chewable tablets. They are just a little smaller than a dime in diameter.
Vicki Loichinger 444 Posted December 4, 2012 I like the sound of those. Once a day would be great.

TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted December 5, 2012 Thanks for sharing. The only down I was was it dudnt have Calcium unless I missed that section.
peachee213 67 Posted December 7, 2012 I showed these to my dietitian and she loved them. She said I would still need a Calcium separately because this Vitamin has all the Iron you'll need and you can't take Iron and calcium at the same time anyway. She did however recommend breaking the Vitamin in half and taking it a few hours apart to ensure maximum absorption. I'm excited about these because I was using Celebrate Vitamins and that was 5 chewables a day. 2 multi and 3 calcium. Now I'm moving to 1 a day and a calcium chew. Thanks so much Baker_gurl for sharing. :D
Baker_gurl 119 Posted December 10, 2012 You're welcome Peachee! Wow! 5 chewables a day! You're right, as with most Vitamins, you'll have to take a Calcium supplement. It is nice to only take one a day and they are smaller than the O'purity vitamins and slightly cheaper. They do have a stronger Vitamin taste than o'purity vitamins, but it's not bad. Vicki Loichinger 444 Posted December 10, 2012 These Vitamins mess with my mind, I mean the figuring out what to take when ect. It is a full time job to get liquids and vitamins in. I hope my nutritionist approves of these once a day. Cause taking things two three and maybe five times a day is just mind blowing. Good luck everyone. And if anyone has an easy to remember schedule of vitamins please let me know. I feel like I have spent a fortune already in viatmins even before the Surgery last wednesday. I just want it to be simple. Is that too much to ask? lol 1 sky reacted to this

Sorry dear... I have eight incisions all around my belly so I can't really tell which surgery was where, whole belly sore. But from what I understand there wasn't a problem getting it out. I haven't heard anything about a pathology test on cyst and mass, but I am going with no news is good news right now,. Too much to think about with taking care of this pouch. Doc did say he removed a lot of scar tissue so I am sure that is part of the soreness. I think they just had a hay day while there where in there.
Nicole K 352 Posted December 10, 2012 My nutritionist said the Iron is a little higher in these than others. It may cause some Constipation. She said I could take it with a Calcium supplement. If I get constipated, we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

CHERCOONS 0 Posted December 12, 2012 Do you know if these taste better than the opurity chewables? They tend to make me gag...most days I don't get or keep them down. Also, do you have any ideas for better tasting high-Protein? Have tried Isopure ZeroCarb flavorless and most flavors...haven't tasted any that really taste GOOD! Deperately need protein...due to stricture and subsequent surgeries have not been able to eat anything for 5 mo...losing hope of ever getting hair or strength bak Thanks, Cheryl
