kmiller 146 Posted December 1, 2012 Anyone have this issue? I have to go 4 to 5 times per day. Always with urgency and fear of not making it in time, as this has happened. I'm going to Florida to Celebrate my grandsons birthday and I'm scared to death. Any info is appreciated.

This used to happen to me and they took me off of milk and products with lactose. Its not uncommon for Bariatric patients to develop an intolerance to milk. Once I can off the dairy it took about 3 days to clear up
mrsblues 81 Posted December 1, 2012 Can you take Lactaid for the lactose intolerance? Otherwise, I will miss not being able to have ff milk with my Protein Shake . Hope that I don't become intolerant.

kmiller 146 Posted December 2, 2012 Thanks guys! I buy lactose free milk and cottage cheese, and I do have Lactaid tablets. I think I finally got the horrible gas situation taken care of. The GI dr. Said the Prilosec they had me taking twice a day was the culprit. Good grief! The Dr. Prescribed a powder that I mix with Water and it seems to be helping some. Thank heavens!
