Dawn 42 Posted November 30, 2012 As soon as my crushed meds are put in my food it becomes so nasty I stop being able to eat and just gag. Then I sleep for most of the day without actually eating or drinking anything. I am only 2 days out from the hospital and 5 days post op, but I am barely eating or drinking and I know I am not having my meds any solutions. We have tried applesauce and cream of wheat. I ate both in the hospital can;t eat at home!

BBdoodle 483 Posted November 30, 2012 Oh I hear ya..... Please try and get your fluids and meds in. I found if I took baby sips all day long I was able to get "some" of my fluids in. By 10 days post op I was drinking my 64 oz. of Water and 64 grams of Protein daily. If you are really having a hard time I would contact your surgeon, you may have stricture. Are you throwing up at all??
sky 87 Posted November 30, 2012 Maybe try using a pill cutter..that's what I do for the big ones...or maybe there is an alternate in liquid form?
