Hey my surgery is monday and my bag is packed ... I have metal free scrunchies for my hair (because no metal in the operating room) and hair brush, my toothbrush and toothpaste, my deodorant, I have my sports bra and underwear, I have my loose fuzzy pj bottoms, and non skid socks for walking the halls, and I also got a loose tank top and cut the top of the strap and put buttons on them so I could slide it on over my legs like pants up to my top and then button it so it dosent effect my IVs.. That way no hospital gown and I also got a very loose tshirt and sweat pants and house shoes to wear home, and I am bringing a book and 2 stuffed animals that my kids wanted me to bring :)

definitely chap stick. it was more.comfortable to me just to wear their hospital gowns and no undies till going home. made it much easier getting on and off toilet that way. they provided socks so didn't need those and when your not walking or asleep they are taking blood or vitals so really no time for a book. so I suggest phone and charger and chapstick brush and deodorant and a pillow to hold against you for the ride home. I also just wore what I went to hospital in. oh and be careful with bra and panties that they do not interfere with your incisions

I was told to bring very little, so I intend to. Gowns front and back will be fine hospital slippers, okay too. I will have a cath until day 2 and a drain even longer so it's best to let them have the right access. I lose my vanity anytime I'm in the hospital. Not planning on visitors except DH, so for me I will arrive at the losers bench in pretty rough shape.....but I do clean up well.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
