Frogjlr 57 Posted January 19, 2013 Has anyone had to have the Lovanox shot? and does it hurt? UGH> I am told it hurts like heck to to get that shot in your belly. Anybody have experience with it? I had to take it for 8 days. Only hurt once. I HATE NEEDLES. So that's saying something. When you wipe with the alcohol make sure its dry before you stick. Also let it stay in for a bit to make sure it in, because if you pull it out before all the Med is in it will sting. Good luck. 1 ready2smile reacted to this

nienie 113 Posted January 19, 2013 Has anyone had to have the Lovanox shot? and does it hurt? UGH> I am told it hurts like heck to to get that shot in your belly. Anybody have experience with it? Lovenox can burn or sting. It is a very small needle and it is given in the adipose (fat) tissue around abdomen so it doesn't hurt as much. I am an RN and give these shots all the time. Some complain of a little pain but most don't. It is much better than getting a intramuscular shot anyday.. 1 one4ozzie reacted to this

KCItalianGirl 24 Posted January 19, 2013 The shots aren't bad. I had to do 7 of them post surgery. Small needle. Barely felt it. You can do it! 2 mrspitts11367 and nienie reacted to this
WheatThin 24 Posted January 20, 2013 I think I would much rather take shots than to continue this liquid diet. Bahahaha! Honestly, it hasn't been quite as bad as I anticipated, so I am praying that I can make it through the next nine days. 2 mrspitts11367 and hunni_82 reacted to this
TLP1212 32 Posted January 20, 2013 I'm 5 days out from revision band to bypass surgery. My back and shoulders are still in way more pain than my stomach. tyjuslysmom 3 Posted January 20, 2013 Had surgery on 1/14. On the soft food phase. Surprised how good I feel. Gas is still an issue. After the surgery my back hurt worse than anything. Luckily they warned me about that and that I would come home weighing more than when I went in....I came home 12 pounds heavier! I'm down 7 pounds of that. Haven't been hungry and having a hard time getting enough Protein and fluids in. Looking forward to getting onto food I can chew!
