tkd259 36 Posted November 28, 2012 Is there anyone on here or anyone that knows anyone who is still diabetic after rny? I take a truckload of meds for diabetes and am praying to resolve this problem when I have my surgery on Dec. 20th. Thanks Teresa
eeyoregirl1970A 1 Posted November 29, 2012 I'm only three weeks out and am off most of my medicines. I am still running a little higher than non diabetics and occasionaly will give myself 5-10 units of insulin if I go above 175, but so far so good. Can't wait to see if it gets even better with dropping the weight and when i start to eat "normal foods". I have high hopes though!!! Good luck and I hope the surgery keeps your diabetes at bay too. 1 Vicki Loichinger reacted to this

tkd259 36 Posted December 1, 2012 How did you all do on the liver reduction diet? I do not take a fast acting insulin, all mine are long acting, and I am worried about crashing! My dr told me to stop taking all meds! That is really scary for me! Thanks Teresa
