i LOVE the unflavored unjury... i put a scoop in a 20 oz bottle and add one crystal light single serve... shake it well you cant even tell the Protein is in there... i was having trouble drinking one 8 oz Protein Shake before now i can easily drink 2 shakes with the Unjury powder... in 2 shakes i get 42g Protein and 40 oz Water... its perfect... i was actually shocked the first time i tried it i cant believe how the protein just disappears i had my wife try it and she said... yeah crystal light whats the big deal then i showed her the huge scoop of protein that was in it and she couldnt believe me...

if you want mashed potatoes so bad... try to get some unjury powder add a scoop to the taters guarantee you wont even taste it and itll be 21g protein... stuff is amazing instantly takes anything and makes it high in protein

So I tried Peanut Butter for the first time and was seriously in pain and felt like I was going to vomit for 30 minutes. Horrible! Never again. I tried plain Greek Yogurt and wasnt a fan at first but put some sugar free strawberry Jello in it and mixed and I love it and it has a lot of protein' date=' so bonus there :) Back to work today and it went well. I hope everyone else is healing well and I wish all those going into surgery soon all the best and I hope for a fast, no complication surgery![/quote']

I tried Peanut Butter to and it made me feel ill. Have you tried danon's lite n fit vanilla greek yogurt. It is so good and lower side of carbs (7 total i believe) 2x's the Protein. I love that yogurt and on the carbs amount not much different than the carb yogurt, but very yummy.

Today was a weak day. Got a lot of liquids in (6 recommended glasses), however only 36g Protein. It's tough. I know my body will get used to it and readjust to the new norm.

I was very weak today. Although I got laundry done and put away. Gas is crazy. Seriously how much is in there. I burp often, pass it the other way and it still doesn't seem to do a whole lot for relief. I heard 5 days, but I'm already there. Did anyone else take longer to expel it enough to live in comfort?

Gen :-)

I think Im going to dry mashed cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes....my doc said mashed potatoes are ok in small amounts. Everyone is different....what someone may dump with' date=' someone else wont.[/quote']

Great switch. Potato has starch and high carbs. Mashed cauliflower is an awesome alternative.

ask your doc what he thinks about you eating mash potatoes and cheese not sure they will be very happy with that choice' date='unless its sweet potatoe but either way there is dumping something that should not happen[/quote']

That's on my list of approved foods to eat... SHE said its fine Not a lot of sugar so no dumping... Obviously I wouldn't be eating it if I had problems... Just was expressing excitement about my progress not looking for someone to criticize my choices I do have a doc for those questions

Just for everyone who seems to have a huge issue with the mashed potatoes they are instant and thinned and I eat like 3 bites I've had no problems with dumping (I too am terrified of that) but it is on my approved foods list... Definitely not as much sugar as Greek yogurt and some of the other things people are posting about... Everyone responds differently to different foods so why the need to criticize one another? I for one joined this for support... Guess ill be looking else where... How disappointing

I have been craving mashed potato and gravy. It is that time of year and I generally only have them 3 times a year, turkey day, Xmas day, Easter. If its on approved list and someone has the craving, yippee for them

I overate. I didn't follow the rules today and ended up getting very hungry. I ate but didn't feel full so I ate a little more. 1/2 cup. Of course an hour or two after the fact I now have that STUFFED feeling like I ate a four course meal.

I'm almost two weeks post op. Because my lil pouch is so new do you think I did any permanent stretching or damage?

Before posting this I read other posts and Internet searching but only read about others who were further out post op.

Body Logix or it might be Body Logics: I have tried all 3 flavors. 24 g Protein, 1 g fat, 3 (I believe) g carbs. I like all 3 flavors and mix them w Water. i never used milk in them. it Doesn't get thick unless you add to it for it to thicken up, such as yogurt. It can be found at Meijers, if you live in a Meijers state. I've also seen it at Kmart. It is 19.96 or so for a large container. I've been happy w it. I also have on order unflavored Unjury which will be here Monday. I received the confirmation today for tracking the shipment. I do think I'm having an issue with milk. I normally have coconut milk, but Dr said cow :-( I think that is why I'm remaining gassy, I had suspicions of having a slight lactose intolerance. I had issues in the past that relAted back to it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
