NikiG 113 Posted December 11, 2012 Any advice on where I can find a belly binder on the quick? My surgery is in less than 48 hours. If approved by your doctor Ardyss International makes an amazing garment called the body magic. It's made from thermogenic fibers that will help to reshape your body. They actually have a while Reshaping garment line (corsets, girdles, etc). I will be wearing mine after being cleared by my surgeon. jodimc 117 Posted December 11, 2012 My surgery date is actually tomorrow. It originally was the tenth but got changed. I'm doing Clear Liquids today and the bowel prep and I'm starving! Not nervous yet... It'll eventually hit, I know it. Going to try to choke down this magnesium citrate now... Wish me luck! 2 jacquie23 and MyTimeToLose reacted to this

Keep your head up and I can't wait to start this journey with my buddies as so many other people already have and will very soon in the future!![/quote'] Hello journey buddy!! And yes...it's like I can't believe it's here and this is happening in 48 hrs we will both be there and probably post-op by then. I can't even think about it too much or I'll get panicky! Ahaha. thisshizzisbananas 97 Posted December 11, 2012 1st trip out today...had an emotional breakdown in the grocery store. Is that normal? Please tell me this goes away! What happened msix? Just cause it was painful, cause you can't eat the food there? Awe! Praying for you, whatever the reason. I have heard that anesthesia itself causes some depression as it leaves your body. Between that and all the other major changes I would not think that this would be uncommon, but if it continues, I would def call you doc.
thisshizzisbananas 97 Posted December 11, 2012 I have issues with panic, anxiety, and depression and I'm praying that this surgery doesn't knock me off my feet in that way because I've been doing so well. Anyways, if anyone has any mental health questions I also work in the field, do I'd be happy to share what I know. It isn't much, but I'd love to help anyway I can. Well today is one week since my rny and I'm crying a lot today and very down. It's from effects of anesthesia. Lisa :-) surgery date: Dec. 4th, 2012

MyTimeToLose 41 Posted December 11, 2012 I am officially postop! I had my RNY 12/10 and so far on day 2 postop I am doing ok. In some pain, but not as bad as my c-section The gas pains are not fun, but I took your great advice and walked when I didn't want to and it made things feel better. I came home today which is good since the hospital was loud. I wish the rest of you the best with your upcoming surgeries! I am excited to be on the December train and excited for you to join me! 1 thisshizzisbananas reacted to this
Simplysouthern26 92 Posted December 11, 2012 Any advice on where I can find a belly binder on the quick? My surgery is in less than 48 hours. Any maternity stores carry them
MyTimeToLose 41 Posted December 11, 2012 Medical supply stores carry them too. They gave me one after my surgery. You could ask the nurse for one after too or ask if you can buy one from the hospital since they may stock them.

I know everyone is different, but do any of you feel like that could be possible? It would be possible. Do you have a sit down job or do you stand and move around? If it is a desk type job I think it would be possible, but if you are standing or moving around a lot I think it may be pushing it, then again I am only on day 2 so still have pain, maybe I will think different when I am further out.
