I had to go online to make the change. Log into MyFitnessPal online -- click exercise tab -- go to settings. And you will see meal names. You can also change what nutrients u want tracked. I have carbs' date=' fat, Protein, and sodium. My meals I have Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, vitamins/Meds, and Snacks. I share my diary w friends only cuz I like to be able to see what my friends are eating to give me ideas. I'm at a dry spell as to what to prepare. Not a whole lot sounds good to me :-(

Lisa' date=' wondering if you had a lot of pain with your ulcer? My stomach aches so bad! Dr. said you cannot tell the severity of the ulcer, as some that are bad don't hurt a lot and others that are not that bad do. I haven't been throwing up blood or having any blood in my stool that I noticed. Is there anything you can tell me as far as the pain of these things? Any other info or reassurance would also be greatly appreciated too! The on-call doc said they can run from being merely a nuisance to being life threatening, so as you can imagine my mind if reeling. :( Thanks![/quote']

I have no pain with mine. All my pain was associated with the stricture. I still have the ulcer but am not having any pain. I'm so sorry you are having so much pain

Your EGD is tomorrow right?

Ugh, what a bad day :-( gloomy out, not feeling hungry at all but I know I must eat. Also yesterday I had a hard time getting more than 40oz Water. All in all just don't feel well today.

I had this discussion the other day with my Nut. She said that at a comic intake of 400-500 a day it is not likely to get too much Protein. Cause I was getting 80+ a day. She said if my caloric intake was 1000 or more then it's a problem. Then our bodies will start gaining w high quantities of protein and a high calorie intake.

I'm a slow loser. That was one of my main concerns that I was getting too much protein. But just in case I did cut it back. My Dr recommends at least 60. I've been averaging 66. I hope this is helpful :-)

Good to know I should be under 1,000 calories a day. Thanks! :)

Kmh- you really need to watch your diet. Too early for popcorn' date=' carbs are a nono...

Can you talk to your nut? Long term you need to let your pouch heal. popcorn is ofren not recommended for the first year.[/quote']

I can see why they'd say no in terms of weight loss, but if you can digest them then it should be okay in moderation right? Skinny pop is pretty healthy stuff.

Feel better soon. The flu is everywhere right now and crummy weather doesn't help. Hang in there. Great nap day! :)

Every Dr is different, so I would ask yours or your Nut. Mine said no to popcorn until around 6 months. They talked about the kernels getting lodged, but again every doctor/nut is different with their recommendations.

So, I sometimes I forget I had this surgery now, it is strange. Today, I got up around 5:45am (kids) and drank some Water, made my Protein Shake like usual and then went about my day leaving my greek yogurt on the table, forgetting about it since I wasn't hungry. Then at 12 I looked at the clock and started making lunch for my kids, then saw the yogurt. I am just no hungry anymore, so hard to remember to eat, it is so strange since food consumed my life before. I still get some cravings in the evenings which was my worst time prior with eating a lot. I feel like I can eat better now, but just not much of it. I still feel weak, not sure when I will feel better, but I get tired so easily which stinks. I do take B12 (under tongue). I did the shot, but my doctor likes the sublingual one since it gives you a better daily amount instead of tapering off towards the end of the month, but I feel tired still. My house is a mess and I have been home a lot the last few weeks and I just am so tired. I decided to skip my walk today and clean and had to take breaks all the time. Still not done and have been doing it since this morning, physicially and mentally exhausted.

Has anyone noticed a certain food that gives them energy? I am not allowed caffiene :( Protein isn't doing it for me since my intake is around 55 and some days towards 70. Frustrated with weight too, I have been not losing much the last few weeks, only a pound here and there. :(

I'm not sure. I have to call the office tomorrow and schedule it. And the on-call doctor called in a script for Prilosec to help it/them heal, which I had been taking for years until they took me off of it after surgery! I am so upset and furious right now! I'm glad to hear yours are healing and you're feeling better though. Can't wait until I can say that!! I'm worried why mine ulcer hurts and yours didn't tho. Lol. See, my anxiety is kicking up! :(

The further down in your stomach, the more painful. I've had one preop. Not fun. My doc requires Prilosec for a year post op.

I just tried some progresso chicken noodle without the noodles and it did not digest at all. Has anyone else had any problems with chicken?

They gave me prilosec too. Well omeprazole. Same thing. Just keep taking that prilosec to help it heal.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
