Granted I own a feed store and lift and carry feed bags all day but no actual working out yet I know I need to I just hate indoor workouts I wanna get outside and hike, bike, run, walk I feel so energetic I wanna do it all but I'm outside in the cold working all day and hate to do it when I'm not at work... I plan on hitting it hard when the weather warms up

You arfe doing excellent. Do you work out a lot? I need to do what your doing. My surg was 12/5 and I'm only down 60 ponds

Shaunda: remember that guys always seem to lose more weight than women do within the same period of time. It is ridiculous cuz I swear it is doubled than what we can. My ex could just drop it quickly with no effort, where I had to work my a@@ off just to lose a little. My body hates to give it up:-(

I finally reached onederland with a 4 pound loss. Yea me! This weight loss is really slow. Much slower than I ever expected. I was 222 at surgery on 12/5/12. So I have lost 26 pounds in 12weeks. I am NOT complaining' date=' just want to share.[/quote']

Yaaayyyyy!!!!

I just ate an Atkins Protein Bar for dinner (I'm at school and will eat a more proper dinner later) but I think it's weird how some they classify as a meal and some are just snack. I had the chocolate Peanut Butter one. It's really good. It has 17g protein' date=' 2 carbs, 14g fat & 250 calories. What do y'all think about that fat/calorie count? It's higher than what I usually eat but is it too high? If it's supposed to be a meal is it not too bad? So far no dumping symptoms, but I don't want to keep eating them if they're too high in fat/cals.[/quote']

Not too high if u are tracking what cals and fats u take in and adjust it accordingly. Your nut should have gone over the amount of recommended fats and cals each day..... Give them a call maybe?

I track everything in mfp... Honestly all I focus on is hitting 75-85g of Protein a day... I don't even pay attention to calories and fat... I do know I usually am in the 600-700 cal a day range... Surgery 12-10-12... Down 112lbs so far... I must be doing something right

Yes u are! :-)

I don't hate you....lol. I just like to compare what I'm doing to what working for others. I can see that I clearly need to up my Protein intake. I am glad to see success stories because it encourages me!

Mine too Gen. My husband told me it took longer than three months to put it on so it will take longer than that to get it off. He encourages me a lot.

Celebrate, celebrate!! The scale was down for 2 days in a row!!! 1/2 lb and the lowest I've been since surgery. A real boost to the motivation!! I'm eating enough salad/veggies for a whole hutch of rabbits. This diet is very restrictive but I can endure if it will just work. Yeah!!!!!!!!!

I noticed I do not sweat anymore. I go pee about 3-4 times a day. I drink around 40 oz. and no UTI (knock on wood). In all the books I have read or articles it seems that is the natural thing to do because of less food being broke down and liquid intake. Hippee I agree go see a doctor just to get it checked out.

isn't it wierd, I'm actually cold my hands and feet are frozen all the time! hot lemon Water, hot teas are my friends , wonder what the summer will be like!

Yeah! That's scary! I hope they get everything fixed for you! It's awful having any kind of complications after this cause the diet and taking pills and eating on time' date=' etc is complicated enough!! Saying a prayer you heal quickly and have no more issues!![/quote']

so my jp has had bright red blood and everything I have been eating has been.coming back up or not sitting well though my prednisone intake is making me a cookie monster with the hunger lol so I'm thing back in tomorrow for another egd but hoping they.finally pull the jp so done with the blood, drainage, pain,.want to be normal, not miss all the honeymoon stage get back to work ,be able to take my autoimmune meds, not so many pain meds and not keep going under for all these procedures, usually they do iv sedative, and the last two times have been completely under....which scares me! my body has been under so much since Dec I don't think it can take much more! Just hoping this is it.......

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
