Found this at the store. It's like a flavored water but better. Only 1 gram of sugar and 10 cal. It taste so good. Anyone else drink these? Good morning friends <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

All of these UTI's have me very concerned. I even have a friend who hasn't had the surgery that is suffering from this' date=' too. I'm thinking my saving grace right now is that I add sf cranberry juice to my tea in the morning and night every day. I'm praying for all of you to get some relief from this discomfort quickly!

On another note, I got the all clear from my dr and nut to eat as I please (as long as my pouch is happy) and work out as I want! I'm about 9 weeks out and 50 lbs down. Just wanted to share a little good news :)[/quote']

We are right together with weight loss and surgery date. That let's me know I'm on track.

Thanks--they certainly are. All boys but NINE :)

I had two children (daughter 32 & son 21) they were (not by choice) spaced 11 1/2 yrs. apart. I felt like I raised two "only" children. I always wished for the "houseful," but it was never meant to be. I've worked in education for the past 24 years. Children are my passion!

Great idea, adding the cranberry to your tea  ! I've had UTI problems, it seems, since surgery. When my Fluid consumption was good I had few symptoms. Other days, I would feel the pain, pressure, experienced some blood, and just took it as a sign to get more fluids in. I'm able to drink so much more now with warmer liquids, so I think my UTI really flared when I came down with this recent illness. Fluid consumption was really low for days. Feeling better now with medical treatment (if only the coughing would stop and my voice would come back) . Got a steroid injection, another antibiotic, taking two now, and a Medrol pack (add'l steroids) so I should be feeling up to par really soon. Had to go back on Lantus (long acting insulin), though because the steroid injection made my blood glucose soar :( . Was told to montior and continue while taking the Medrol pack, too!

I love the information you all have to share. Thanks :D !

2gels caps Vitamin C

PACran natural cranberry concentrate 500 mg

High density PAC cranberry

Equivalent to 25,000 mg of fresh cranberries per serving

Other ingredients Soybean oil, rice bran oil, Gelatin, glycerin, soy lecithin, yellow beeswax, Water, and colors,( carob, carmine, and annatto)

AZO cranberry contains no milk ingredients, artificial flavors, preservatives, yeast, gluten,or wheat.

Nope no NSAIDS

I always used a product called Cystex because it was OTC and contained an antibiotic which worked for me and avoided constant Dr. visits for UTI's (I've had a lot due to the diabetes). Was going to purchase it again for this recent UTI but after checking the box label, I realized I could no longer take it because it had a NSAID for pain relief. So I just assumed the AZO did too! I know there are more than a few different AZO types to choose from because I saw at least two in my drug store. Advising caution before you choose by reading labels and checking. I guess they aren't all necessarily alike. Good to know ;) !

Oh and good news, weighed in at doctor's office and lost another 6 lbs. I will try and post pictures soon, just haven't felt well enough lately to mess with it all. Feeling somewhat energetic today so once I catch up around the house I'll give it a try. I have a school photo, from the beginning of the school year I want to recreate exactly with same clothing although hair is currently being grown out. Think it will be pretty neat to see the difference. Either way, I will get some posted later! Time to know what I really look like!

Congrats on the weight loss!

It would be neat to see pictures of our Dec. buddies. I have never felt confident enough. Now I may be able to do it. It's so different.

Just hope that taking the steroids and insulin won't impair the weight loss, may have to give up my place on the loser's bench for a while...LOL! Will be interesting to see if it is impacted at all.

hope you start feeling better, just as some encouragement I have been on steroids since before my surgery and needed two additional shots

this week for a flare, of course every one is different, as it affects))( your weight loss it might slow it down a bit since it might be Fluid retention or increased appettite

you must try to stick. to.you plan as much as possible and try not to.get

Has anyone heard from SimplySouthern?

I can't stop worrying and wondering abt her. I did reach out to Alex a few weeks ago and asked him if he might have any secret info in her registration facts that he could use to let her know we are worried abt her and really want to hear from her but he didn't respond. I don't know what else to do. As far as I can tell, she hasn't posted anywhere on this site since she last posted here and said she was going in for a feeding tube. I do wish we knew something!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
