No... I wouldn't brake out... These are huge! It's only two' date=' but they are right by my eye at the top of my cheek bone.. I did buy some zit zap crap today.. hope it starts to at least shrink!

How long ago did you have surgery...mine was 12/27/12.[/quote']

Oh...hmm, no breakouts before. Could be the toxins and fat breaking down and giving you zits. And lol, zit zap!! I think I saw that before! I have the neutrogena visibly clear, rapid clear treatment. Says it visibly reduces spots in 8 hours. I dunno about 8 hours, but it does seem to work when I use it, so if the zit zap doesn't, maybe try that. I have a friend that gets huge zits before her period, like one or two, and she puts straight toothpaste on them overnight and says it shrinks them really fast. Lol. Worth a try?

Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to the site. Just had my bypass done on 12/31 after having a lap and for 3 years with little success. So far so good. I enjoy reading everyone's input!

Y'all I can't do chicken broth anything I have tried and the smell turns my stomach. I even have Campbell's chicken noodle healthy choice and strained it and put my unflavored Unjury in it. I was trying to get my last 20 grams of the day down. I swear I was gagging stomach was churning. I have 2 cans of unjury chicken broth 1 not open the other only one scoop out that I tried I can't get it down. I can't even smell the powder. Thank goodness I have the unjury chocolate splendor and the chocolate classic

This is tough then I thought. Tomorrow is my 7 day post op. I have an appt with my dentist for a cleaning and to get my new crown. Sure hope I don't need drugs for this.

Isn't that funny how we buy all these potions and lotions, when the old school stuff actually works? Lol. Well, hope they clear up for you soon! :)

Hey, looking over my food diary/notes, I was the exact same way a week post-op. My pouch seemed very sensitive to different textures and I could NOT take the taste or smell of any shakes at all, to the point of gagging. My nut told me to focus on fluids that didn't upset my stomach and not worry so much about getting all the Protein everyday. I think that week was the hardest for me. I tried everything! I seemed to eat a lot of yogurt then, so maybe try that for a few days? It really does get better I promise!! I think near the end of my second week I started to feel less "pukey". Lol. Hang in there!!

Today I'm moving away from puréed into just soft foods. Dr said a week and I could move on, yippee.

Had a yummy ham, cheese, omelet for Breakfast. Will definitely need 1 or 2 shakes to make the Protein, especially since I start at gym today. Will use Water only though.

Last night I had ground venison burger, cottage cheese and marinera. I was told by someone that their Dr said no game meats such as venison til 6 months. I read through my binder and nothing about it. Has anyone else's Dr said no venison?

My nut said game meats were great because they're leaner.

That was what I said. Many people here mix their venison w beef to make it more fatty (I don't know). I had mine processed w venison only so it's lean as possible.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
